    Loved this series.
In the early-middle positions, I noticed two things: 1) that Carlos wasn’t opening as wide as Andrew would have liked, and 2) that Carlos was very worried about playing post-flop. Given this, would it make sense for Carlos to use a larger standard open size for this portion of the tournament, say 2.5 or 2.75x? It seems like this size would fit better with his range, and also help discourage players behind calling as often.

Yes, good points. As long as you aren’t so shallow that even small raises are rarely flatted by anyone other than the BB, this makes sense.

Let me tell a quick story:
Recently, I have been running bad and losing confidence. Yesterday I joined TPE. Last night and this morning I watched this series. Today, I jumped in couple Bovada tourney’s with renewed focus, and a new strategy: I pretended that Andrew was looking over my shoulder and analyzing every decision I made. Am I going to fold rather than defend here? What does fake Andrew say? “No Nick, with these odds you have to defend this hand!” Ok fake Andrew!

First tourney I played was $40 buy in 5k guaranteed. Guided by fake Andrew, I played great, ran great, and binked it for $1800 and my 2nd biggest Bovada score to date (full disclosure, I did enter 3 tourneys so this method not actually 100% guaranteed:)

I must admit, I still disobeyed fake Andrew a few times when I was too much of a chicken, but overall I was able to find more good folds, more profitable barrels, more steals, and just better, more confident play overall.

Thanks Fake Andrew! And real Andrew and real Carlos!

    You’re welcome you fucking weirdo.

But seriously, I’ve done the same thing myself. It does work wonders. Nice job Nick!

Haha, yeah sorry…I wrote that message while still giddy from the win. I looked back at it later and thought, it’s pretty fucking weird. Oh well.

Good run man, and really nice review this is my 2nd run through. I’m actually playing a final table today in WSOP circuit and wanted to review before I play: )

Enjoyed the video, 2 great and funny playa. Useful advices. If you want to win a tournament you have to have 4 KKs and win with them. No bad luck in key hands together with good play, meaning victory. That is the receipt. Good job.

I have ti say i liked those series, and found them valuable. literally.. just (10 minutes ago) took second place 16$ Bounty builder on stars. i dont know how live or dead this site is (judging from comments), but just wanted to leave reply. funny thing is, i am leaving a ciment in this section, because i have only gooten so far in the class.. ok, fine, i saw news part one of next series , but you get the point.
watching these series made my thinking so much more relaxed and i would say less stressed – i found thst i can fold connectors in position, i found thst i can have raise/fold range, and i also found raise/call range. it more close to what i played when i was ayi g good, but now i kind of know WHY – again, you get my point 🙂 i lost with QQ to K8 (He was 4 my stack). and also i am happy, I am not EXCITED, because this was only logical tjat i will get there. i had some poor sessions before, but in the back of my mind, i KNEW I am going right way. thanks
