Got into panama late thursday night and went to the Paitilla Pacifica region in Panama city. We have a nice highrise here with a pretty cool view and the place is guarded etc. Pretty happy with the place overall but having a bunch of difficulties getting validated to play online poker again. I'm down here with FranktheTank and luckily we have a lawyer's office right next door that has fluent english speakers that have been helping us get everything set up. We have official letters from the bank saying our accounts are setup but they aren't processed yet cause apparently it takes forever in Panama(a week). Playing about 8 events from now until the 27th here in florida starting today with the 3200 main event at Pompano Park then moving over to hardrock for the side events before the 10k main! i will be getting a twitter account to try and upload updates/hands/hooplah. Haven't blogged in a while and I apologize for that, have been dealing with some really annoying stuff lately.  2 days before Thanksgiving I was rear ended on the highway going to my girlfriend's parent's house for her break.  He was going about 40-50~ MPH and neither me or my girlfriend Emily heard any breaks before it happened.  My car has been in the shop up until about a week ago, and since then I've been dealing with a bunch of problems with my back/neck/shoulders along with Emily and was going to physical therapy 2-3 times a week in December while I was staying with my parents in Florida for the holidays.  Fun times. So just got into London for the first time a couple days ago after blazing through WCOOP with no real results, other than non-wcoop events where I had a pretty nice week or two.  10th in the 500 wcoop 2nd chance, 90 off the bubble in the wcoop main, and some other deep but non promising runs.  Still happy with the results though but kinda tiring that I had to leave for london the very next day after the main, no breaks here Finished Day1a yesterday with 105k @ 600/1200.  Had a pretty great table to start it off and feel like I played pretty well.  Got into a tough spot with aces against Italiancrusher but other than that had a nice pot where I flopped a set against an aggro guy and another where i called a limp-reraise(ppl get [More...]

Just updating real quick, but day started out crappy with being pretty card dead, lost a couple pots  then lost KK to Dario Mineri’s AA.  wee.

Haven’t blogged in a while and figured I’d let everyone know how I’m doing!  Went into the hospital yesterday from having some sharp pains in my chest everytime I breathed in for the past 5 or so days.  Waited around forever, but after some X-rays and an EKG we figured out that the lining of my lungs are inflamed and my ribcage is poking them, or they’re poking my ribcage, everytime I breathe.  Pretty sweet.  Got some meds and hopefully it will stop in a week. Poker has been going pretty terrible overall.  Tons of deep runs with getting screwed with anywhere from 5 to 100 left.   It seems my KK vs 77 is becoming more of a race, but obviously it is just variance and something is uncontrollable.  What’s important is that I’m very confident in my game, realize [More...]

Haven’t blogged in a while so figured I should update it up.  Been on a downswing pokerwise that was just offset this weekend by a 100^3 tilt win with a few other deep finishes on saturday followed by a win in the ub 500 and shipping an EPT Villamoura seat.  Pretty happy with it, itching to play some more live poker after all this WSOP stuff so first EPT I’m playing of the schedule will be on august 28th!  Have some friends visiting from Pittsburgh so taking it easy this week to relax and keep the balance in poker, although I will be playing tonight =D

So scoop is ending this weekend and so far I’m not that upset to see it go.  Been getting some dreams built/crushed with the latest being staying up till 11am in the 1K only to bust 15th for 4x my buyin.  Woot.  That combined with some cashes and nothing else going right is leading to a not surprising lame SCOOP, but it’s not over yet.  I will be playing the 2000 cubed event on Friday, and will be playing the scoops on sunday as well to close it out.  All it takes is 1 day in MTT’s and I’m going to do my best to focus and play well. So, I just finally returned from Europe after being away for about a month.  Even though nothing went right, I’m glad to be home and excited to grind FTOPS/SCOOP. After San Remo, my friend, Joe Serock (floes online), and I took a mini-trip to Amsterdam before EPT Montecarlo started. It was the first time I’d ever been there and was really awesome.  We rented bikes and were able to get pretty much wherever we wanted on bikes alone. I really like the way the city is layed out in such a way. Bikes outnumber cars very easily and it just seems to be a very friendly atmosphere.  Saw the Anne Frank house and enjoyed the sites (and smells) but only was able to stay for three nights.
