If he jams the 147608 next to you and his range is only jj+, ako+ then you need to call 87608 to win 314159 meaning you would need 27,88%, you have 31,39% vs that range, if he has AQs and some lower pairs then your equity is even better, the 60k sizing is way too big in my opinion, you don´t have room to fold after that, but good series!

You made a comment about how since you don’t have a HUD you need to make assumptions based on “stack size, position, and stage of tournament”. I watch other’s videos and where they use HUD stats to justify a play and I want to scream at the screen “you can’t do that based on 2 orbits”. Then they say they just got unlucky that they ran into the top of villain’s range. My point is people tend to read way too much into HUDs and should really factor in those 3 things you said most of the time.

You’re about the 100th person that has asked me that but no it’s not me. IMO the fields/prizepools are just not worth even depositing on there and I can’t stand the software. If i do play on winning network it’s for their OSS series and I’d be on my ‘iThiNkBiNk’ screen name. Rather just stick to Bovada when I’m not on the road.

I’m not a numbers guy but I know exactly what you mean. The way it seems your brain works is based all on volume and what the best play would be over a large sample size or when multi tabling, but i don’t typically think like that. I’m much more game flow based and look at each situation differently. I guess it comes from my live background. But thanks for the comment, I appreciate all input!

EXACTLY!!!! i don’t have anything against a HUD bc it does give you info that you wouldn’t have had otherwise but when people make all of their decisions based on what the numbers tell them it can severely hinder you (specifically in the end game of tournaments where most people play differently than their stats might indicate)

    great comment bud!

Corey at the 17 minute mark when you reraise with 10-10. Would it be Horrible for the guy with AQ suited and only 10 Bb to shove also? to make a stand. or if that were you with the AQ would you also fold and wait for another spot?

  7. MJ23STYLEz

i dont think its horrible bc there’s really only a couple hands that i could have that dominate AQss but I’m pretty sure I would fold too. You have to think of how strong the play I made looks from the BB perspective. When EP opens to 18k and i make it 60k, it looks like I’m never folding, and since it looks like I’m never folding I have to have a really strong hand since there are number shove stacks behind me and AQ (suited or not) shrivels up at the point. As a general rule: w/ 10bbs or so in the late stages I hardly ever call off for my tourney life, I like to be the one shoving and putting the other person to the decision.

sorry for the late reply, but the Ninja Tactics series already has been released and I’m recording a new one this week on a Carbon OPS trny I won w/ almost 1,200 people. Taking a slightly different approach with it so should be a fun one, stay tuned!!
