I actually joined because I want training for live play as I Live in Florida and can not play online except for ClubWPT, and that’s only when they decide to allow Floridians to play in the Sweepstakes for cash and Seats to live games. I’m pretty sure live is different than online but to what degree I am unsure. Any information on this matter would be deeply appreciated.

Forgot to list my experience.

In the last year have played in 12 live tournaments. As I live in Florida, I can’t play online for cash yell!

$360 buy in times 3, #1 did not place, #2 placed #24 out of 1140 people, #3 placed #176 out of 2022 people

$570 buy in times 4, #1 – #3 did not place, #4 place #56 out of 1756 people

the last 5 were all tournaments of $150 buy in or less and found I don’t do will in these low stake, small tournaments for some reason, and seem to do better if there are over 1,000 live people and want to improve all aspects including small low stake games.

welcome aboard!!  While live is certainly different in various ways from online, many of the things that make you “good” in one will translate to the other.  Look forward to seeing you around the community!

Welcome! I also play primarily live, but have learned so much on here that applies to both live and online. You’re going to get a lot of value if you’re active on the forums and consider joining one of the Skype study groups too. Enjoy!
