Hey guys,

I wanted to introduce my self and ask for some advice.

My name is Danll, i live in Australia and have been playing poker on and off for about 3 years now, mostly just for fun and not taking it at all too serious. i have had a few stints over the last year of playing more serious and actually grinding out some games. I have had some bigger scores lately and im trying to figure out if it is because i have gotten better or just pure luck.

I am a bit lost for where to start as i feel i have a decent base knowledge and want to improve whilst playing. I also don’t know what games to play either, i know the general response will be start low and move my way up my concern with this is that i struggle with the time vs potential money values in some of the super micro stakes.

Any sort of guidance on where to start would be greatly appreciated, i am up about 700$ this month due to my bigger scores that i was referring to  so i have a bit of extra money for tournaments and learning as well.

dang.  i just wrote such a long (and good in my opinion) response to this, and lost it all somehow!

The just of it was, if you are trying to grind out a bankroll, be very strict with your buyins. But let’s say you make a ton of money at your job and dont get to play all that often because of time constrains. you dont mind reloading and enjoy playiing a little higher when you can. Take some shots! Responsible shots that is.  If it hurts you financailly to lose you are playing to big.
