Hey

reads – V is a huge fish, there sizing has been ridiculous through out the tourney.

I’d usually raise flop but instead i decided to flat which i really don’t like , I mean if i had a very strong hand like a set/two pair or even TPGK , i’d want to raise this flop so i think i really should of raised here. I’m not sure if v will fold a hand like 7x or 4x , they might though. Overall i think raising flop and shoving turn would be okay both with our value/bluff range unless we think v is not going to fold then we could call with our draws. Our range becomes pretty capped though when we just flat flop , our range may consist of weak Jx , maginal hands pretty much and maybe flush draws.

I was tempted to shove flop and i’d do this with my both my value and bluff range I probably would as i reckon this opponent will call with their marginal hands so their’s a lot of value in shoving.

Anyhow ott, i decided to raise it up , when v calls their range consist of Jx and maybe 7x it seems , i reckon 4x would likely fold , as for flush draws thats unlikely to be in their range since we block combo’s of those also since their range is very wide they may end up calling with a worse flush draw then ours maybe?

otr , the 9 does not change much really, QT is the only hand that got their , they are going to have tons of worse hands in their range which very well may call. We may also end up chopping with a hand like JT/T7.

thoughts?

cheers.

If you had raised small, you might have gotten a call. This came up in another thread. The low level guys who min bet every street have showdown value and not much else. “I have a hand. Therefore, I bet.” The turn raise is fine because it’s not for much more. V is in his own little bubble, so the idea is not to pop it 🙂

Yeah agree raising the flop is the right line here.

These min donks usually indicate something with showdown value that is 1) afraid of the next card and 2) doesn’t want to pay too much to get there.

So you have a hand with gobs of equity that can possibly make him fold a pair.

Additionally, it will be difficult to extract value once you hit. Which just makes getting it in on the flop all the better!
