At the 24-minute mark you’re pretty sure he’s bluffing, but you don’t think his action is because he got there? Don’t get me wrong. I’d have called, too 🙂

You provided further context, so I should have waited to comment! Let me change my question.

When he bets on the river, do you reassess and consider whether he got there, or do you stick with your original read and assume he’s barreling on the river?

At the 24 minute mark could he not have 22 or 55?.
You were right with your read but do you not think that when he increases the size of his bet to half pot on the river, that he more than likely has you beat?

I’m thinking 22 or 55 3bets cuz those hands kinda suck post. If V has any showdown (middle pair, etc. ) he prob checks rivers, so he’s really repping a king. Sick call Dog too bad V got there.

BTW, I’ve actually been having some trouble in this exact spot, where I’m reading villans bluffy behavior correctly through the hand but V gets somewhere crazy/lucky on the river (runner runner weird str8, gutshot, turn+river flush, etc.) and I’ve been getting OWNED by villans big river bets. Any more advice BigDog on how to sniff out these spots and avoid them? Like nothing in the hand makes sense for a big river bet by V so you call and *bam* he was on pretty much a bluff that rivered some good equity. Ug it sucks…

    @ 2:11 T9s – how is this not a ship? you’ve got 15bb in the HJ.

@ 23:02 A4 bvb: what would you think about reraising him to around 1585 or 1650. If a K is unlikely as you deducted and we are continuing oop then why not put it back at him? If he calls we still have the Gssd and the A over card. All in all your instincts amaze me – very nice hand I just wanted to get your thoughts on this alternative line.

@28:47 shouldn’t we be shoving AJ orb with 13bb? Is an inducing open standard for you here?

Thank you for choosing the smaller big 11 over the 320 six max.
