Nice first vid, thanks. On the very last hand, seemed like too small a 3b oop. Wouldn’t you normally 3x in this type of spot?

you’re right about my sizing being too small there, I usually 3b closer to 3x there, or at least around 1600 in that particular spot. thank you for watching

GREAT video and your explanations are so clear , a small request would be to try and show the showdown hands of the villain as often as possible. I am very much looking forward to the rest of your series Pete
    Gr8 job first up

thank you for watching & for the kind words! Unfortunately villain showdowns on WPN are hard to come by as the site/HH does not automatically provide us w/ the villain’s holdings. Basically the only way to see the villain’s hand at a showdown other than an allin/call is for the villain to be the river aggressor & for you to just call them down. Even in instances where they lead river, if I raise & then get called I will not be able to know their hand. Its a pretty bad defect on WPN that Ive messaged them about countless times

ok I actually did enjoy the vid… but forget about that. I checked out one of your battles…vs DNA. I am not going to pretend I am straight outta Compton or that I even know anything about rap battles short of watching 8 Mile (classic imo btw). But I have to say…I imagine you need some pair of cojones to get up there and battle. Just one thing though…is it all pre scripted and practised? I expect there is some improvisation involved, but how much? Sorry TPE I know its off topic…but actually not really – during the thing I could relate it somewhat to a poker game…having to think on your feet and react to a challenging opponent and situation, digging deep and improvising and being creative…I hope I am not going OTT here, I actually did just have my 2nd whiskey, but having watched you perform I can see the parallels. Whatever…peace

Yes, today’s era of battle rap has transitioned into a written/scripted format because there are simply too few genuinely great freestyle battlers in the world & back when everything was improvised & in tournament format it would essentially be the same 4 guys in the final 4 every year. In this newer written format it is still encouraged that the battlers rebuttal things in the moment & at least still show glimpses of the skillset that comes with w/ more improvisational stuff. Thank you for watching the video!

Do you consider your style of poker “small ball” ? If not what, would you say are the biggest differences?
