I’ve been looking over a lot of HHs and plugging leaks, trying to identify bad patterns that start to develop during a bad run. So that has helped my confidence a bit.
What I’m really excited for, though, is the WSOP!!! I just got my schedule approved, and will be playing all the 1k/1.5k/2.5ks and if things go well probably some of the 5ks as well. I’m sure I’ll also be getting over to the Venetian for some of their tourneys as well.
I’ve been running almost everyday, and biking on my off-days. Eating well, and the routine I hoped to set up pre-WSOP is really shaping up. I still need to get a tennis racket, though, and get out to hit some balls before I leave.
I’m taking today off, and biking into town to hang out with an old friend and go to a mindfulness class. It’s the greatest class ever. It’s basically a group meditation circle, and although I never would have guessed, meditating with other people actually helps me stay focused on my breath and in the moment.
For anyone interested in meditation, I suggest checking out Tommy Angelo’s blog. He has a great “starter kit” there and some very helpful suggestions.
