Tales of a sit’ n go grinder

Hello TPE! Marc Alioto aka "aznallin007" doing my first blog post for Tournamentpokeredge.com.  I have been a professional sit' n go grinder for 3-4 years now and i am going to be documenting my play for the month of November.  I am currently switching to 6/10 man turbos and 10 man dons because 6 man dons have ended.  For those of you that don't know anything about me, you should check the podcast i was in here: http://www.tournamentpokeredge.com/podcasts/ My grammar is pretty bad, so bear with me through this adventure into the mind of a grinder.

My goal is to get players/members from the TPE community to understand a different side of poker.  Most people read about final tables and big scores.  I am here to show you that with hard work and dedication, one can become a winner without the highs and lows of variance.  Don't get me twisted, i dream of becoming an mtt beast, I'm just not at that level of greatness yet.

So today…  Where the fck do i start.  The first of the month is here and i have to grind a ton in order to stay a pro with the lock poker team.  Please do not ask about details of that contract, as i cannot reveal anything. I will give it to you like this, i have to play a shitload!

Woke up  9:30am

Coffee parlayed to a cig, and its grind time. 5:30 hits and 0 breaks later,  im probably 60 games in having been registered in over 30 games at a time.  Up 200 dollars, i was pretty happy.  Needless to say there was no action on my first day into the world of 6 and 10 max turbos.  This was going to be a long day.

Taking my dinner break, my mom had some halibut with cilantro seasoning.   Tasted like heaven, but all i could think about was how much longer my session was going to have to be in order for me to hit 300 dollars in rake.  I try to hit 300 dollars in rake per day in order to hit my goals of every month.  So, when $100 sintgoes are poppin, my day can go fast.  This was not one of those days! I found myself grinding the 30s all day.  I have no problem with up to 12 tables but the max i had up today was 10 and that was for a brief time.  More tables=more rake=less time in front of computer

Back at it at 7 and i finshed up 2 hrs later for a nice 11 hr session.

In my last game of the day, a 55 10 man, i needed to win it to turn profit. FML!!!!! I binked a 7 with k7 to crack his kq and i shipped the 10 man for 195 in profit from that game.   weeeeeee fcking weeeeeee so totals 11 hrs, 75 games=+52 dollars

 (nice hourly rate) LMFAO

i will not include rakeback until the end of month as i plan on turning a profit this month from my play.

Hand of day::: i will try and post HH in future

3 handed in 6 man(bubble)—— i open 107 hearts,sb folds,  bb defends with 15 bigs behind.  HU to the flop, KAK no hearts.  BB checks, i bet he calls.Turn is 2, he leads, i shove he snaps with kj.  This was by far the worst hand i played of the day, i reshipped his turn lead with no fold equity with 10 high and no draw.
