Daryl i really think that when doing theory videos you need to use ALSO a power point presentation, not only to keep youself on track when you talk (you ll agree that sometimes when you talk you just go off on a tangent) but also, to help people watching, visualizing the content you are trying to deliver (it may seem silly to you but i remind you that some people on this site, myself included, are not native english speakers so it’s not always easy to follow you when you start wander off too much from the main topic) ……I think that Andrew Brokos has done a great job on that aspect ( im not talking about the content right now im talking about the way he delivers that content)…I hope i expressed my self well enough to let you understand my pov…But i apreciate the effort you put in the videos =)

Regarding the hand against the good reg who opens for 300 from the hijack and who you expect to 4 bet a lot. Arent stacks a bit shallow for him to have a 4bet-fold range as the 4bet will be about 30percent of effective stacks?

Your sentences are more fluent now, your tone is muuuch easier to listen too, and, i am actualy enjoying your vids now!! The into was very funny.

HOWEVER, i find this series to be a little hard to follow along, just find myself getting lost every so often. For instance, your hand chart was off screen for a while and we missed a lot of the hands you were checking off on the chart and i didn’t get a lot of what you were trying to say.
Also you go on a little rants every so often and its uber annoying .

I feel like on this site only a select few of the pros actualy give there videos 110%. I wont be subscribing to this site for a while. I will go to PokerXfactor

idk something about power points that makes me feel like they r for old white guys. All jokes aside i’ll seriously consider it next time.

I think thats fine considering how strong my 5b range will be. Shouldn’t have enough pot odds to call with hands as strong as AJo even

idk I kinda like doing rants. I never liked watching stuff where the person stood completely on point. Point out the times I did this i’ll look it over and see what I could of done better

So… I’m a little bit confused about your advice for hand selection on this video.

In every possible case when constructing a range of hands that you’d want to 3 bet, you left out your strongest value 3 bet options (AA, KK, AK, other big pairs and big Ax).

I understand that most people know that big pairs and big aces are usually going to be part of a 3 bet range, and I understand that sometimes there are good reasons to flat with those hands. However, in past videos when you’ve talked about your complete range for a given post-flop spot for example and how you’d proceed with that range on various turns and rivers, I thought it was a cool way to conceive of the whole spot. In this case, you seem to just be focusing only on the lighter portion of your 3-bet range, and not showing how you are balancing that with value hands.

I’d be interested in seeing WHICH value hands you balance those Blocker Type hands with, and which ones you decided to flat for balancing your call 2-bet range with some strength. You ask some good questions like “why should we 3-bet?” and things like that, and certainly part of the answer is building a pot with a stronger range.

I know you said you were looking at choosing hands with blocker value a number of times and other ways and it was informative and interesting. Just a little odd to never see the strong value part of the range being considered.

Great video… It’s bringing a whole new level to my 3b thought process already. I can see where you’ll be going w this series and I’m stoked to watch it.

You’re 10x better than your older TPE videos. You unlocked “irreverence,” and you’ve gone from some of the toughest things for me to watch to some of the best. Keep up the good work.

PowerPoint might constrict your stream-of-consciousness style which can be harder to approach for us viewers but is also a unique feature of your style and one I enjoy. I like long-form-strategy breakdowns. That said, I do find myself drifting and hitting rewind to catch back up from time to time so it would be worth coming up with some ways to help delivery. Clicking through the hand builder is a nice addition compared to past videos where you just have a hand up and talk down a bunch of thought-paths. Honestly, I think dropping the final video on a motion graphics guy to do an animated visualization would be amazing. Even simply cards flying in and fading out as you talk through hand constructions would be engaging.

Regardless, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, and for all the hard work you have put into these videos! Until someone sits down at a computer and hits record they have no idea just how hard it is to do it!
