Hello Andrew. Around 3:59, you are saying that the amount of value hands we are raising, determines the amount of our bluff hands.I get the idea behind this. My question is, what is the ratio of bluff combos to value combos, how we derive that number and which parameters affect it?

That’s a good question but there’s no easy answer. It really requires you to understand a least some basic stuff about game theory and the concept of “indifference”. My “Getting Off on the Right Foot” series might be a useful introduction, but Mathematics of Poker is the closest thing to a Bible for understanding more deeply.

Hey Andrew, thank you for another eye opening series! One question: How does defending your big blind in cash games(100+bb) differ from defending in tournaments? Should I defend with a tighter range in cash games? I know this is Tournament Poker Edge but Im curious about how you should defend in a cash game.

If you keep all other factors (position, pot odds, etc) the same and only change stack size to be deeper, then you’d fold out of BB more often, because your ability to realize equity will be lower.
