Im so pumped about this series! honestly I think your best stuff is the hand histories and analysis you do, the exploiting tendencies series is epic.

Daryl is fast becoming my new hero. This is so good, cant wait to get fully into this.
I enjoy going over sessions but this is going to make it a whole different ball game.

Got bored and turned it off after 30 minutes. Over-analysis of a simple situation imo.

I’m happy to accept that I’m a low-stakes donk who’ll never reach the level of most of you guys, but I have to be honest and call it as I see it.

When asking the question “what’s my range?” are we talking about are perceived range. This may be answered in the later videos but I haven’t gotten there yet.

Dude your mindset sucks. You obv want to get better by being a member here.

But having already accepted in your head that you’re a “low-stakes donk” and will never reach higher levels, you will make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This video is not about this 1 specific situation – it’s about analyzing each situation more deeply than “I raizes pre, now I cbets”

Nice video Daryl. I am looking for the second time to it. The first time, I think, I wasn’t ready for this huge load of thinking poker lines. I am playing a lot lately, trying to think more too, the book of Ed Miller “Playing the Player” was an eye opener. So I enjoyed it a lot this time and I’m looking forward to viewing the next episodes. Awesome!

You definitely have to be ready to follow this series and sponge up all the information. Earlier I wasn’t either. Like stated, this is advanced. I’m not claiming that I am an advanced poker player (I am not), but you have to have done some hand reviews of your own, and so on, before this series becomes interested. I do think however that just these insights is what is going to make a better poker player. So Gary, don throw it away, wait a little bit and then try it again.

With the turn coming a 2 i dont see how this is a good turn card to barrell because if they are calling the flop because they think there ahead then the 2 doesnt change anything, all the turn bet does is fold out worse hands that float. Am i thinking wrong??

  9. Bonezy

I agree Daveyt86, I feel like the turn bet is almost always going to get called when we are behind and also going to work when we are ahead. it doesnt seem like a good card to barell. I like barrelling any diamond, any 10 or face card and maybe a 9. But I also think if you do bet this card, you have to follow up on the river with a third bullet.

I’m really glad this series is included so early in the “University” training set. I’ve been needing to know how to establish a routine for which questions I should be asking myself on each street and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

I’ll be honest: I didn’t make it past 14:00. Although perhaps well conceived, this opening video seems to lack a coherent methodology for: (1) refining ranges (villain and hero perceived); (2) Pre-flop decision-making framework; and (3) enthusiasm. Sorry Darryl, I respect you’re a great player but have a peek at Brokos’ videos if you want to learn how to better convey your ideas.
