Sorry for not updating in quite a while – I really have no excuse except that talkiing about myself is not something I like to do. I started part one of my poker story, and I promise part two will eventually be written.
As for life over the past few months – Last year I made a post about trying to get my weight down. I've successfully hit my goal of 215 a few weeks ago, and am actually at 211 pounds right now. It took me exactly a year to go from 250 to what I am at now, and it has been a struggle. Learning to eat right has been very difficult – and I learn new things NOT to eat every day. My cholesterol is unfortunately still a bit high – but is a lot better than what it was a year ago. I have also been exercising moderately and hope to get down another 10 pounds or so within the next few months. I am 6'0 and built pretty large, so I think that would be a nice, good weight for me. In high school I ran track and was very built at 190 pounds, so I don't think I'll ever be near that again.
As for poker – I had a really good January. I won a 30r on FTP, got 3rd in a 20r on a Sunday, and had numerous other final tables. I actually played the 10 dollar deep stack during the MET week and final tabled that, as well. It felt good to get a final table in a random large field tournament. Playing low buyin MTTs are such a clusterfuck of good players and awful players, so I give you guys grinding the micros a ton of respect. It's hard to figure out what people's ranges are at all at this level.
My girlfriend and I have been looking for a house – and after two months of looking for one we found the one of our dreams… except that after getting pre-approval we have found that our finances (mostly mine) are not nearly as lined up as we thought they would be. I feel so disappointed today that I'm not even sure how to handle this emotion. Hopefully, we can figure out a non-traditional way to get finances secure so that we can still get this amazing house before it slips away. We know what to do to ensure a loan in 2012, but with the market and interest rates as low as they are, it's decently frustrating.
That is all for now – Hope everyone has had an amazing start to 2011 and continue to do well.

PS – got 2nd in a $44 turbo on Stars on 2/27. That is going to be my next video for the site. Went into the final table and was 9/9 at one point, so pretty happy with that result.

Mr. Wein, it was a pleasure meeting you the other day and having a chance to sit and talk about life, poker and bs was great. Like I told you, I understand the weight issue. When I got home today, went to the scale and saw I lost 3 lbs while in AC since Tues and that’s without crushing it at the gym yet. Keep it up and you’ll be a 200lb beast soon. Your a good guy, so I wish you all the success in poker and most importantly life. Hope to have many more conversations with you.
