What’s Good For Your Colon is Good For Your Soul…

Before I speak on my colon, which I'm sure has you all bristling with anticipation, allow me to apologize for the lack of blog posts. It will be a short apology, as I don't want to assume that anyone wants to read a blog written by me. But an apology nonetheless for those out there with deficient enough taste to want to read a blog written by me.

I'm sorry.

With a New Year upon us, I've been, like many people, making resolutions to change, many of which will be quickly forgotten. One of them is to blog more. We'll see what happens.

Onward to the colon…

A bunch of my girlfriend’s friends decided to start the year off by doing the Quantum Wellness Cleanse, which is three weeks of no animal products, no sugar, no gluten, no caffeine and no alcohol. So my girlfriend went and got the book and I agreed to do it with her. She started today and I decided to start tomorrow so that I won't be looking to kill someone during my Wednesday session.

I'm looking forward to being forced to be more conscious of what I put in my body. And since these dietary restrictions will make it a chore to eat out, I'm also looking forward to having to do more cooking, something which I greatly enjoy but don't do enough of.

I'd be lying if I said I'm not scared about giving up caffeine and sugar. I drink a lot of coffee and tea and have a rather large sweet tooth. But I do know that after a few days the withdrawals will be over and I should have even more energy than before I started.

All in all, though, I'm excited for the challenge and hopefully the positive lifestyle changes that will result. I'm going to use my blog to post regular updates of how it's going. I hope that doing so will not only help me to stick with it, but will also help me to blog more regularly.

Other than that, I've just been getting back into the swing of the grind after some time off for the holidays. Nothing spectacular to speak of results-wise, but I'm very confident in my game and am continuing to make some changes and tweaks to it that I'm confident will result in a big year for me.
