What would you say is the softest Poker Tournament across all sites Lock,Stars,32red,Titan,Carbon,888poker??

the “windy” tournaments (i.e cyclone, twister, typhoon etc) on 888 are great
usually $55 buyin, around 100 players (at least at my times) and are extremely soft.
if you are after lower stakes than that, the 1r and 3r are incredibly soft – i would say 80% of the field dont even rebuy at the start and a fair percentage dont add on either.

Sadly I cannot comment on Stars or 888.
As for Lock and Merge…both Sunday majors are really soft. Obviously things like $1 tourneys and what not are going to be pretty soft, but for the mid to high stakes stuff, I would say those because you get so many satty entries and people taking shots.

If you’re interested in the $5.50 -$10.50 freezeout range, Lock have some very soft ones with guarantees. Not huge prize pools but also not many players. Same with 888 but more players and just as soft.
Same as what Benny said about them not rebuying or adding on at 888 at these micro’s as well.
True/America's CardRoom is quite soft as well

ive been noticing that the lower rebuy tourneys have had some of the crazy rebuy style of play carry into the post add on portion of play, not for a large amount of time but i think you can find some good spots to pick up chips here and there are also alot of players that i see still not fully rebuying and adding on so that says something about the skill level.
I would add that most Bovada tourneys are super soft, but it is anonymous players and obv you can’t use a HUD. However, I think the anonymous play actually brings in even worse players, since they do not need to be embarrassed about their plays.
I only just recently returned to lock, but all of the tourneys that I have played ($30+3 and up buy-ins) seem super soft. Would echo TTwist’s post on the rebuy tourneys in relation to Lock; just played a $20 rebuy where I swear that two people at my table thought it was still the rebuy hour after the addon!

Update to my last post-
Since fulltilt have come back online the fields are super soft but there are also a small number of decent regs which make them way more playable imo. The small stakes prize pool are crap though unless playing a KO.
888 is still by far the softest site, even in the $25 mtt's and have good prize pools BUT the 10min blind structure is nasty. The number of fish seem to be so high (sometimes over 90%!) that it's a massive mine field with this structure imo.
Their 15min blinds, deep stack mtt's are very profitable though I've found ($3.50-$5.50 etc.)
Of course gotta be in AUS or outside US 🙂

I've been thinking for a while that 888 play seems fairly soft, its just such a shame their support for mac players is so crappy. Might have to give it a shot though…

One way to find soft spots is to look at where the site promotes itself. 888 for example often have advertisements in public gents ( men's “bathrooms” pondside) in Service stations and other places with a lot of public traffic.
Another good source is the various ipoker skins connected to often UK-based online bookies. Typically with names starting with Bet—. Although part of one of the two ipoker player pools, some of them run skin-exclusive ( they say) tournaments. These can be heavily loaded up with sports punters trying out poker and often losing interest after half an hour. I had one over the weekend, a freeroll but with a small cash prize, (about $2 total prize pool!) 273 runners, about an hour in, 70-100 players left, with antes, I was at a table for about 10 hands, where everybody else, 8 others, were sitting out. Increased my stack about 50% over those ten hands. It seemed like a licence to print pennies.
These kind of things seem to be good also for getting experience of doing a whole tournament including final table for a tournament beginner like myself. There are a few slightly better players in the mix, and of course they concentrate as you get to the final table. So at my stage I believe it does help me practice what I have learnt, and try out new things, with the only risk being my time.
After two of these I am 100% ITM with 1 final table finish. Ask me again though after 10 or100 of these 🙂

an old post brought to life again:).
if you'd like to find soft fields play on the smaller networks (as previously mentioned sports bookies as unibet/betfair/redKings/Pokerheaven etc) are a good pick, they often have overlay on tournaments (especially the sunday mtt's) and because their software is awful they have relatively few regsulars (you can't multitable as much as on stars/tilt etc) which makes the fields pretty soft.
you could find even weaker fields on the 'shady' networks (not recommended as cashouts are never a guarentee) but if you're new to the game and don't mind that your cashout gets stuck it's easy to grind a roll on these sites and get some experience amongst weak players.
As for freerolls, I find that you don't really improve on your game as it's just waiting for hands and clicking call/shove. If you don't have a roll, play the shasta's on everest(Ipoker, 5c prizepool free tournaments) and study your hands with pokerwiz/videos to get solid SNG fundamentals and meanwhile you can grind your roll together. (basically the way I started 8 years ago:) ).

Hi guy.
There are many soft tournament in different rooms, for example on fulltilt most of the tourneys under $20 are soft, maniacs and recreational player, but you have to try.
I am going to give you an advice: you have to pick the tourney where you feel comfortable playing, the tourney you like the most, structure, prices, starting blind, enjoy the game.
I could tell you some tourney that is really soft to me and then you go and play it and it seems really heavy tourney for you.

Honestly, I really can’t tell…the tournaments under 100 dollars online…they are soft everywhere pretty much all the time. If I get seated at the table and it’s full of unknowns then I am very pleased however, if the table is filled with REGs then it might not be as easy, but the REGs like everyone else are exploitable especially the ones who mass multi table playing a certain strategy/system in auto pilot mode. I’d say just play and jsut worry about playing ‘perfectly’ according to fundamental theorem of poker. They all suck…no need to search for soft sites.

Sick bump of a 4-year-old post!
TBH if you want a real answer to this it would probably be just any random freeroll. If you want the softest major tournament, it’s almost a lock to be the Sunday Million since that has the most satellites and the best reputation for drawing in recreational players.

Given this has bumped back in again I’ll throw my two cents in:
I play on Grosvenor (which is part of the Igaming network) PartyPoker, 888 and pokerstars and would say that the softest tournaments with biggest prizepools tends to be 888.
If you ever fancy dabbling in cash though I have been crushing the micro stakes on Grosvenor while trying to grind out the first deposit bonus, currently running at around 20/25bb per 100, although not over an entirely representative sample.

I’d second Scotfish regarding 888, although I have been suffering the high variance associated with large numbers of fish. PartyPoker is still a good bet as the field sizes are relatively small compared with Stars but they have a decent GTD MTT series running every week, but it seems to me that the talent pool has gotten better there. PKR is very soft, and a great place to start out but the prize pools are quite small.

would suggest euro sites like ipoker party and 888. has been a while since i grinded those sites regularly, but my observed ROI was higher on these sites than most others. bovada/ignition is also very soft-ROI-wise but also requires an abnormal amount of your attention-per-table than any other site. tradeoffs!
