Holy moly. So sorry you've gone Turbulence. I looked to you as a beacon of strength in the game. I have also been doing rubbish this last year or so, but mainly because I have been so skint with so many expenses (mainly due to maintatining my fATPL) that any time I make a score I am withdrawing my roll.

Can't give up TPE though! The day I give up TPE will be the day I also am totally through with the game.

I guess it is easier for an amateur to remain detached from results though. I'm so sorry this stab at going pro didn't work out for you. I have also suffered setbacks in both my poker career and my regular career, and I empathize strongly when things don't work out for people. Don't be too disheartened...tournament poker is notoriously brutal. Have you thought of trying cash?

Hope you see this, hope you'll be back.

I for one will miss you.

Hi guys

thought 'I would let you know here first that I will be giving up poker and hence leaving the site (again). The bottom line is that I am sick of being on the receiving end of everybody else's bad play / good luck, I have completely fallen out of love with the game, mainly because I am stuck back at micro / low stakes and it drives me insane. I may or may not be back in the future, but right now it's unlikely.

Anyway, that's why i have not been very active recently, and you should probably remove my mod status.

Hi guys,

I have noticed a glitch when responding to or writing a post and it is a fairly frequent occurrence that I know others have experienced as well.

It generally happens when writing a lengthy response / post, when you come to submitting / saving the post the su=ystem has a spazz, takes you to a blank page with "are you sure you want to do this" or simliar in the top left corner. If you hit the underlined link it takes you back to the forum post but has dumped your response. I have had this happen on both my PC and Tablet, and have read others grumbling of similar. This is not a new issue, this used to happen years ago when I was first a member.

It is quite frustrating, especially if you have put a lot of effort / thinking into a response. I might be part of the reason we get so little forum traffic these days. There have been several times I have responed to something, had this happen and just gave up. The thread was not then responded to, so the OP probably a bit gutted and might not post again ect ect or people just dont bother to respond because of this issue happening too frequently.

Anyway, just thought I would bring it up as it might be worth looking into, might be a simple fix such as increasing the page timeout duration or something (if there is such a thing).

Sean

You could still market through the magazines: Bluff, Poker Pro, etc. couldn't you? You do not need to use a Harrah's property to rent a small meeting room. Since WSOP training and other training sites for that matter offer paid training during WSOP, if we offered a free day of Q/A it could potentially draw a huge crowed. Just an idea.

I am planning on coming out for a couple of days for sure, already have the money banked for hotel, airfare. Just waiting to see what TPE schedule will be.

The problem is that the WSOP doesn't allow training sites to market at the RIO because they have their own (lame) training site. We actually tried to do something onsite but got turned down. That said, we'll definitely be out there doing something this year. Are you coming out?

I noticed that training sites do not take advantage of WSOP marketening. I was thinking you guys should have a TPE day. You could probably rent a small room just for a day in Vegas during the WSOP. You could have a pro or two around to ask questions about poker. You could also put a few videos on a DVD and hand that out(peolple love free tangible objects). If you marketed this through the magazines and podcast, this could generate some buzz.
