Basically we plan to create a prize pool to send the league champ to a major live event, and each of the placing members have a % of the champ.

What do reckon about setting up a 'home game' group on stars? I'm happy to get the ball rollin'... It can be similar to a league, that we may be able to link in with Skype convo's, TPE chat, forum HH posts, guest pro crushin's, prop-bets aplenty and TPE braging rights.

 I am sensitive to those who are currently unable to access stars, but fingers crossed the Black Friday debris clears.... for those people I sincerely apologise.  

The home game set-up on stars looks pretty schmick!  Who knows this may lead to some healthy competition, tuition through trial and error, and maybe become lucrative enough for some of the tpe beasts to build a roll that may lead to certain 'tasty' tournies, of which other members can earn %....  

 

At this stage Stars allows groups of 50, but if we need to exceed it, support will help out.

We can arrange a monthly 'regular' touney, with affordable buy-ins for all....to start with...  

 

Of course we'll need KB and RFB to endorse the idea as it would be stella to associate the games with TPE... maybe even supply some tpe merch/goodies or some other creative percs... perhaps a picture of Marc Allioto crying in a dress, or a memorial BigDog glass shard.... the main objective would still be to improve our games and have some fun doing it!

It was in Port Macquarie northern NSW.

 

anyway i was too late to join the AM satty but they did almost exactly what you guys mention, 10 weeks @ 100 each per night with points for placing each week

 

Well Rob won their satty and went to the ME (btw the level of play back then was pretty simple) in 2008 and got down to the final 14 where he and some guy named chrisanthopolus got it all in pre with Roberts KK vs the AK of the other guy for a 2.3million chip pot @ blinds 8k/16k for a pretty hefty CL but the guy binked the A and Rob ended up busting shortly after for $100k

 

he got 50% of the 100k himself and they all split the other 50k 10 ways which is essentially what you guys are planning

 

mate i think if this kind of story can happen from a Port Macquarie lounge where - i was the only player in his 20's and it seemed like nobody including me had much of a clue about anything at all, and if you knew how many outs you had on the flop with a double gutterball you were considered very good - then im sure you guys can make it happen!!!!!!!

10 guys, $100 buyin, you earn points depending on how you go in the tourney. at the end of the 10 weeks or whatever, the winner gets an AM ticket, and maybe 60% of himself, and the other guys get a percentage based on where they came in the series. 

 

might be hard to organise, but maybe we could organise something similar to this using the stars/888 home games?

We've got 12 months to either satellite into, post the buy in, or just sit on the rail at Aussie millions 2013. If not the main, we can at least splash around in some of the smaller stake events.

In order to get there we need to help each other out, by;
* keep everyone informed about upcoming satellites,
* form a 'common-goal' group that will foster each others poker development,
* commit early by pre- booking accommodation/cheap flights,
* maybe spice up the quest with a few 'healthy' prop-bets,
* share big, live, event experiences...

Anyway you get the gist of it. Clearly this quest would be more appealing to Aussies/Kiwis but it would be great to get some northern hemisphere buddies in the mix. Who knows maybe we can get a TPE house down under.... MarioKart and all....

Let's get inspired and creative! Some members have already blazed a trail.... Well done Donskey, Mike and the cagin' Brendooor... Let's get some critical mass and gogogogogo!!!
