That seems like the obvious answer to me, as long as depositing isn't too onerous. If depositing is a big problem, then you need to put a number on the likelihood of your money disappearing. If you think there's a 5% chance, then keeping $300 on there is costing you $15 relative to withdrawing it. You can weigh that against the costs related to withdrawing/depositing and the marginaly return you expect to earn on that money by having it available in your online bankroll.

Lately I have been trying to figure out if I can manage my bankroll better given my situation.

I would like to move up in stakes, and am very comfortable with 5 and 10 dollar buy ins. I want to play more 20$ buy ins but I also know the importance of being properly bankrolled to do this.

At the same time, it has been said that playing on loosely regulated sites in the US is rickety, and that money should be withdrawn instead of left on the site. That combined with the pleasure of seeing money roll in has caused me to decide to withdraw about 300$ every month for the past five months. Each time I did this, I retained another 300 on Merge to play with. This has been working well and steadily, but I have noticed the feeling of being short on the bankroll after each withdrawal.

A part of me wants to stop withdrawing so I can be properly bankrolled on the site to move up .. A part of me wants to keep withdrawing so as to have (and protect) the money (safer in the bank account than on Merge network). If I can consider myself bankrolled to move up with just 300-400 dollars and the willingness to deposit if I go bust, I would like to do that. If it is necessary to have a better bankroll on the network, I am willing to do that.

Any recommendations? Thanks for reading.
