i still think this article is one of the better ones ever written on the subject, and, for someone who plays smallish field stuff with only a few bigger fields mixed in, it works great.

if you are playing mostly huge field stuff maybe go a bit more conservative

How many players in the tournament? It makes a big difference. For single-table sit-and-gos, I believe something like 40 buyins is the usual guideline. For events with 1000+ runners, even the oft-repeated guideline of 200 buy-ins is probably insufficient.

Hey, I've lost my bankroll twice now from turning 500 into ~5000, I went broke, and have since lost another 4000 ($). I'm planning on depositing $3000 on Stars and €1000 on Stars.fr next week.

I was regularly multi tabling with several 100+ buyins up to 500 (inc. 6max sngs). Since looking up BR management i've realised how stupid that was - I just wanted to know what games I should be playing, I was thinking max buyins of 55?

Thanks for any help!
