personally i think that the end-game in all types of sit n go's is very important to learn and will help even in MTT's

understanding all of the aspects of push-fold spots can mean so much as making an error deep in an MTT can obv be critical.

if you play high volumes of sit n go's and study end game a lot you will quickly become accustomed to these spots

benny's right about turbo's lowering your ROI b/c they're simply higher variance

imo, you HAVE to review all of your close decisions in SnG wiz straight after each session and learn how you adjust depending on the villains calling or shoving range

Yes you do need to have your ranges down for shoving and calling shoves playing the turbos. If you have confidence in that portion of your game I would recommend staying with turbos for volume. Hitthepanda did a BR building series (a while back) on 180 man turbos which play similar when it comes to the shove/fold stage.

I think the pay structure in the 45's is better than the 27's tho.

Use a program like Sit & Go wizard to study/review shove spots to get better if necessary.

yes they do become a shove fest, but we can deal with short stacked poker much better than other people (if we have been watching the vids on this site :D) and you can get many more in per hour, so even though your ROI will be lower, your hourly should be higher.

so i would definitely be playing turbos at these levels.

my 2 cents anyway

Hi,

I've recently started playing some of the Pokerstars 45man and 27man SNG's to try and build a roll.

Ive played 9 turbo's so far , Ive only cashed in two , although it was enough to be in profit so far.

Do you think it is a bad idea to be playing the turbo's ? , although they are over quicker , Ive noticed how much earlier they become a shove-fest and as I like to play tight early on I can sometimes never really get going.

thanks
