Throughout the tourney (450 hands total), I was dealt AA once, KK once, QQ twice, and AK 13 times.

Cool story bro, doesn't mean anything, but I just thought that was funny.

Here's a funny hand from this tournament….from the "is this real life?" file.

This hand happened with 112 people left in the tournament. 110 paid. I had a top-five stack to start the hand.

I'm value betting the river knowing that I probably appear full of shit and can get looked up by a lot of mid pairs, and the Zeebo theorem is always running through my head (people can't fold boats)…hence the big sizing.

My reaction when he called my value bet on the river (value owned myself obv) and flipped over AA was utter shock (even though it made perfect sense based on the weird preflop action…shortstack's 8600 open was effectively a shove, and he flatted, then called my 3bet oop for a lot of chips). Checking back flop seems kind of standard since he's usually not calling too light this close to the absolute bubble, and the turn gives me what I'm thinking is pretty much the nuts, so I'll try to get looked up light on the river….whoops!

Thanks!

The opener (seated 2 to my right) was opening almost half the pots, and I prefer to be the one running over the table...so I started jamming garbage like 95o against him...lol.

On the hand that crippled me, with 10 left, I had 86cc in the small blind and the cutoff opened (again) and the button (big station, running like 32/17) flatted...so it seemed like too good a spot to pass up. This one might have been a little spewy since I had a comfortable stack, but deep in a tournament, I like to go with the "when in doubt, just pull the trigger" philosophy. Unfortunately the big blind woke up with a monster. Oh well.
