Sharing single tournament HHs is not a big deal. Stars encourages the sharing of individual hands on BOOM Player, and this isn't much different. The type of stuff they're trying to prevent with that rule is datamining, i.e. collecting thousands of hands of info on players you've not yet played against much.

The best way to share it is to locate the original .txt file in your C:/HM2Archive folder, and then just simply attach the file to an email or drop it into a Skype chat. It should be relatively easy to locate the tournament if you know the date and poker site - even more so if you know the tournament number.

Exporting entire tournaments from HM2 doesn't work as well, especially if you try to export with stats - sometimes it erases the player names, which means nobody can copy-paste the hands into a replayer. Finding the original imported HH files is your best bet.

If the exchanged hand histories are not imported into one's database then I reckon there wouldn't be an issue, so that's probably a relevant consideration.

I seriously doubt this is an issue that would merit consideration in a vacuum, but could potentially provide leverage were a legal dispute to arise over payment or whatever.

Quick glance at Poker Stars rules regarding third-party software:

Q: May I use a permitted tool or service to record information about players from hands in which I am not playing?

A: No. You may only collect hand histories and player information from hands in which you are a participant.

Practically, I don't see how this is enforceable on the scale of HH exchange for review purposes, but technically it appears to be against the rules.

I dont think sharing Hand Histories is banned within the TOC's of most sites. It is a standard practice in the community amongst players and for coaching purposes.

If you know how to export a single hand from HM2 all you have to do is select all (Ctr + A) and export the hands as you have done previously. You need to make sure the correct tournament is selected and upon export check the hand history is in chronological order as sometimes it is backwards or mixed. If this happens click the date/time box at the top of the individual hands so that it orders them chronologically and export all again.

I'm interested in this too. I'd also like to know if it's possible to use the HEM2 replayer to review somone else's hand histories without having to import their hand histories into my database. Maybe it doesn't really matter if I import their hand histories into my database though, not sure.

By the way, do you use the name 'Schwartz' on merge? If so, I ran into you last night in the $5, $3K guar. (or maybe it was the earlier $2, not sure now) tournament last night. My username is bionicdonk.

Hello,

I am using HM2 and playing on Merge .. wondering how to go about sending someone an entire HH? I can export individual hands from HM2 just fine, but not entire HHs.

Is it a matter of finding the HHs in the file folders of the website we play on?

Thanks!
