Paired boards play pretty aggressive. The raiser can easily have a mid pair or flush draw here so I'd just jam and if we got flatted by AK or KQ and coolered then whatever but I feel like if we fold we're folding the best hand more than 50% of the time without very specfic reads.

Yeah, that's the hand. It's so interesting that two successful pros like the Dog and HC have such opposing opinions about leading or checking the flop here.

Personally I've been checking more in spots like this in the lower levels, along with checking more hit flops if Im oop, esp vs aggro opponents.

When Dog talks about his line after his lead bet is raised, he says he prob shoves most of the time.

I have to incorporate that way of thinking more into my game. My default after being raised here would prob be a reluctant fold, just as Ron did.

At the lower levels I think you can safely two barrel dry boards and shut down if they continue to call.

That's where the HUD becomes an important factor, too, You look at their fold to c-bet percentage and also look at their fold to Turn bet percentage. Hopefully there is a decent enough hand sample there to use the stats.

The first time I watched this video I was playing at the same time and missed alot of the content. Really glad I went back and watched it again bec this is a great video.

BogDog and HC open with a discussion about their strategy when playing a bigstack and they talk about feeling out the players on the table - seeing how much aggression they can get away with.

And later HC talks about the necessity of two and three barrelling bec he will be opening more pots than normal and talks about not shutting down every time he doesn't hit a flop.

I find this could be pretty tough to do at the lower levels when some players could be so unpredictable and stationy.
