I used to cuss a ton in my videos, but I dialed it back to practically nothing, because I found it kept getting me in trouble when I was doing other podcasts or videos where I couldn't get away with that. It just became better to get in the habit constantly, so I didn't slip up on the regular.

I think if the guy cusses though that's just his spiel. There's lots of poker players I consult with for concepts who constantly drop F bombs in public, usually around kids. I just have to grin and bear it, because I'm the one trying to learn from the guy, and it's his show.

If you guys feel this way about the vids............ You might as well stay away from us when we all get together in Vegas for the WSOP or the local tourneys like Atlantic City or Cherokee NC. LOL

the swearing doesnt bother me one bit . Its when he says stuff like "I dont even know if im playing good or maybe im playing this hand all wrong blah blah. Not a good technique of teaching new students who are trying to learn the game. You need to take the Bart Hanson approach or at least become more assertive instead of clueless when review video. If you are not sure of yourself or do not sound convincing , the viewers will not be convinced as well. I was contemplating joining Crush Live Poker because he uses actual live play when review hands but i decided on TPE because CLP is more about improving your cash game as opposed to tournaments which i prefer

Love Daryl's videos and think he has an honest authentic voice and would hate to have him change it or rein himself in to bring himself to some kind of generic acceptable level. I do find it upsetting if I am the only woman in a golf 4some and some knuckle dragger grunts "f cking c nt" at his ball when it misses the hole but that is possibly gender specific.

Daryl's dialogue is charming and takes me back to my childhood neighbourhood lol. You wouldn't ask Tarantino to shoot his movies wo the language and violence to make them kid friendly

I'm in Australia too and find the merge and bovada live sweats great.
The quality of opponents and field sizes are very close to the mtt's on 888 which is a great site for lots of smaller buy ins and smaller fields. I play 888 as much as stars and have had great results after watching these last few vids.

It's a good point you make Jacob, and one that I really hadn't thought much about until now.
I'm in Australia and can still play on Stars (sick brag..), but due to American Pros being forced to play on Merge, Bovada, etc it gives different perspectives against different players and field sizes.

I'm sure if Stars and Tilt were still available in the US then Daryl, Marc, Chris, KB, etc would all play the majority of their time on these sites - so thanks Black Friday!

As it stands, there is far greater variety available and I'm sure player get benefits from seeing sweats from all these different sites.

this. and your American semi-rec-wannabe-pro-tpe members like me 🙂 the games the same, but we have different nuances because we never have 5000+ fields and whatnot, and US players are probably still a big portion of tpe's market. i understand wanting stars and fulltilt, but you can't possibly expect to strictly have nonamerican sites exclusively when many people still play here.

Just wear headphones while listening...it will eliminate any chances the little ones can hear anything.

Daryl's last live sweat was my personal favorite and has really helped me over the last few sessions. He has a Jedi mind and can't wait for his next series. What I gained most from the series was be leary of the higher variance moves, ask yourself what you can beat, and allow the villains to spew to you. His hand reading ability is unreal. Thanks Daryl!!

Just a thought, based on m@ddm@n's comment above.

Perhaps a tag could be added to videos that are kid-friendly. Might make it easier for the viewer, without hampering the flow of the presenter.

I'd better clarify what I meant. I have no prob with his language myself. It's just that I'd like to run through some of the great vid series with my young kids and this is one of the best there is! I just thought I'd mention it as none of the other series have this much is all. Really no biggy at all though.
