    Actually vs a 11bb stack we should be shoving 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K6o+ Q5s+ Q9o+ J7s+ J9o+ T6s+ T9o 96s+ 86s+ 75s+ 65s 54s (the q7o) hand.

    Actually 13.5bb effective on the HJ (k5s handed) the range is 22+ Ax+ K6s+ KTo+ Q8s+ QTo+ J8s+ JTo T8s+ 97s+ 87s 76s so its close.

Thanks for the analysis. My shoving and calling ranges have probably been a bit off since I stopped playing 180s. However, I do think it’s dangerous to fall into the trap of using default shoving ranges/Nash ranges, because it’s always dependent upon villains’ calling ranges as to how profitable each shove will be, and there are plenty of times where shoving either wider or tighter than Nash would show a much greater profit.

It’s very dangerous to fall into the trap of using ‘unexploitable’ ranges, especially in non-turbo MTTs, because it indicates that you’re focusing on defending yourself against exploitation by others in situations where only a small number of opponents will actually be good enough to exploit you, instead of focusing on actually exploiting the weaknesses of other players.

Totally agree, and people definetly don´t call with the correct ranges, thats why I am usually wider than the suggested range, but when the field gets tougher and the players are better I usually try to shove as mathematically correct ranges as possible.

I noticed someone rated this video a 5/10 – do you have any feedback for me? I can handle it, feel free to tell me how much of a video-making donk I am 🙂

In the QQ hand towards the end (summary: six handed, you’re UTG in a single raised pot vs the BTN, you c-bet 843r, x/c 8c turn and x/c 9s river), if you are in villain’s shoes do you think that would be a good spot to overbet the river? Imagine you don’t know he has a busted draw, how would you react to that? Your range is fairly face up there (from his perspective) which effective caps it, so that may make for a good spot for a river overbet (whether for value or as a bluff).

19 minutes: Guy 3bet rips ~24BBs and when you Stove it you don’t include AQ or AK – I’m not sure we can discount these, certainly not 100% of the time, and even without them it’s close. Given that it’s a .fr soft field, and that being so I wouldn’t expect them to exploit us by 3bet jamming as wide as they should/could, I am leaning towards a fold here – thoughts?
