    Hey, great video!

Just a question regarding the last hand , on the river when villain checks , how much would you be looking to bet?

our sizing should be based on our opponents range ,we know that the top of their range is hands like 7x , do you think betting say half a pot would pretty much do the same job as a larger bet would do? against this particular opponent though , they seem like they know a bit about hand reading so i guess smaller would be ok..

@ 35:42 with AQo on the flop when it gets checked to us:
Should we really not cbet here?
I mean there’s 24k in the pot & winning that pot is huge for us with our 43k stack. I think we can make a cbet as small as 1/3 pot (around 9k) & it’ll accomplish the same thing as a 15k bet. Tex’s range could still be missed broadways (JTs, QJs, KQs, AJs, KJs maybe, even a hand like AQs that he wasn’t comfortabel cold 4betting) that will fold to a cbet into 2 people.
Same for rilas’s range. He definitely opens close to all (un/) suited broadways & our small 3b gives him such a good price to defend (and even more so when Tex just cold calls), so there are almost no hands he’ll fold when he can close the action getting such great pot odds.

I feel like by checking behind we just make it look like we’re not strong (spoiler alert: we’re not) & have a hand like AQ, AK. These are good (reading) opponents, who’ll easily figure this out & bet 12k on turn, leveraging our stack. Their bet or bluff (not necessarily) will have a huge succes rate because we won’t be able to call (and realize the equity we most likely still have in the hand).

I really like c-betting as small as 9k here: it doesn’t have to work all that often & when it does it’s huge for us. This way, even if they call with hands like mid pocket pair we can get to the river for only 9k: they’ll almost always check the turn to you & if you don’t improve your hand you just simply check-behind, see a free river & evaluate then. (probably x or fold if you miss & maybe value bet if you hit).

10min: wow I think the silly HM replayer might have skipped the hand,Void is a reg but i think i was 3bet folding given all the reason you mention (perceived strenght, his shoving range etc)…
16min: very true statment about my sizing with a set on that board, should have bet bigger otf !!
30min: It’s reason number 1 =) and also I like putting 20ish BB stack ( i agree i should 3bet to 9K not 8) to the test in these kind of spots i find people fold too much…
43: i like the line i took, villain is an aggro reg, and turn I think is bets to lead since it’s very likely if i check villain checks back ( yeah maybe 12-13K is better) …
46min: i agree that given flop texture, and all your explanation, original limper is not going to bet a lot, so out betting is way better…but i dont agree about betting river when all draws have missed, i think she would have snapped me off even with a 6

I’ve played this tourney quite a few months ago, so i would play some things differently but not that hand: i think that c betting there without a hand is not gonna be a good idea at all given spr , ranges and type of opponents…

when all draws miss i dont really like betting, especially on a river that never improves what we are rapresenting in a spot where we still have some sdv…
