Great commentary guys-thankyou! Marc how do I apply HUD on merge? I toyed around with it but I’m not sure tbh! Do I have 2 buy it?

I think scoopjackson’s line on the JJ vs 95s hand makes sense. You’re face up because of your sizing and he’s betting huge on the river to get you off of your obvious overpair. I think your large flop sizing makes him more likely to float, not less. I do understand your criticism of his play, but against what he perceives to be a random opponent in a WPN $215 (i.e. a decent-not-great TAG MTT grinder…someone like me), I think he expects to fold out most of your range here. Creative guys like this own me in these kinds of spots constantly. I don’t think there’s any need to second guess yourself here. I think your read in game was spot on, and your river call was good. Not knowing who you are, I think he’s not going to take this line with a set, particularly the river sizing, so there’s little chance you’re getting taken to value town.

I’m actually kind of surprised he didn’t shove the river. I see a lot of good tricky players jam rivers in spots like this, where the board favors their range so heavily, and I wonder if you’re more or less likely to call a shove than a 3/4 pot bet.

its the preflop where i think he plays hand bad. I agree that his line post is really good. I shouldnt be C betting that board but at that stack depth im usually going to be cbetting pretty large with my entire range. Less floats with air and more chips in the middle with value. I like over bet jamming as a bluff here in his shoes, vs any random player jamming better than his sizing. He is an absolute sicko

Great commentary with you two bouncing ideas off of each other, one of the most informative vids i have watched on TPE.
