    Hi Matthew, in the hand holding 22 and deciding to call the 13bb shove. Does your stack size enter calculations? For example,is it a call if you lets say had 18bbs

      Hey haydock, sorry for the late reply.

      My own stack size wouldn’t really enter into calculations at short stacks. People are way, way too happy to find justifications for folding away profitable spots. How many chips I have doesn’t really impact the EV of the play at all, so if it’s a profitable play, I’ll take it whether I have 18bbs or 100bbs.

      The exception to this rule is if it’s a massive pot at deep stacks – if we have 100bb and have the chance to make a river call for 80bb in a spot where the play is +5bb in EV but when we call and lose, we go down to 20bb, and if we call and win, we go from 100bb to 180bb, I think that’s a spot where folding is justified. There’s not a massive change in our edge from 100bb to 180bb, but there’s a huge change from 100bb down to 20bb.

      In general, people massively overestimate how easy it is to find a good spot at short stacks. If you have a profitable spot available, you should take it.

    Hey Matt, good part 1 and like your thoughts on the multiway pot check instead of auto c-bet lines. Quick question, what was the name of the application you were using that was displaying Nash ranges?

      Hey DB523, glad you liked the video. I use two Nash calculators, one for Preflop and one for Postflop play – HoldemResources Calculator and Simple Postflop. Postflop Nash/GTO calculations are pretty tricky so I’d only recommend them if you’re at a fairly advanced level, but HRC (or ICMIZER, its more expensive and less effective cousin) are a must for anyone playing MTTs.

    Hey Matt,

    Lets say, you open raise AQcc in middle podition and get flated by the button and the BB. The Flop comes down 7s 8s Qs. Would you still check your hole range there? I guess it would be a disaster giving them a free card?
