Hey guys, i want to talk about the T2 hand that’s the first hand of the vid. utg limps with ~23bb, button limps with 30bb, I check in big blind with 42bb.

Flop is 5cTh4h. I am first to act and bet half pot (3.3k into 6.6k). I’ve already learned that the size is too much. Let’s say my sizing is an artifact of where the game was pre black friday but I can fix my sizing. Thanks for that it will make my game better.

You guys didn’t like my lead there with TPWK into two people with the FD and SD out there into two limpers.

You said I had no plan but i don’t think you were listening to me talk. No problem, i have the same problem with my wife. 🙂

My plan was that if i donk lead and get raised I can get away from it as it’s either a better T or a draw. Now obviously it’s not great if i have to fold to a draw there but I am absolutely crushed vs another T which is probably an equal range…T9, TJ, QT, TK is probably squarely in ranges. When you combine that with the fact I lose a decent % against the draws in their ranges it seems like not a great spot to get it all in. Betting lets me know where I am in the hand and protects my pair from so many turns that are going to absolutely suck for me to play OOP. Draws will hit, overcards will come. All of that will suck. I don’t know what value i’m really giving up here that i would capture later on.

If i check, i have to start calling down multiple streets with this shitty hand which I wanted to avoid.

    Is my logic flawed here?

Absolutely love this series. Has made me laugh so much…
Really enjoy hearing the different angles with which you guys approach hand ranging.
Have also adjusted my bet sizing to 1/3 pot where neccessary and it seems to be working a treat, i’m getting people to fold without risking as much….cheers guys keep up the great work. : )

Oh yeah….RonFezBuddy – my wife doesn’t listen to me either so your not alone lololol…..

I see no holes in your argument here RFB. I play it the same. They say you’re not getting value from anything, but that UTG guy is never raising, so he could have pairs and draws worse than T and just call.

Your plan – Bet flop and then check turn and river and probably fold to any bet unimproved.

Their plan – Check call flop and then check turn and river and probably fold to any bet unimproved.

Obviously, I am making assumptions on later streets. If I am right on this, you effectively get to the same spot. Your plan controls the bet sizing and can take it down now, their’s cant. I think you win this one.

    Man…1
    Pros…zillions

All in good fun. SITTM is the best series on TPE. Fun and informative.
