What is this? Sit and go video? One of the reasons I’m paying my 24$ per month is the niche TPE is on. MTT’S! Not 1 table sit and go’s, not cash games.

And why post one video where you start four tourneys and then no conclusion? The point of TPE is not watching you make a deep run. Or is it?

We had a technical problem with the 2nd part of Casey’s live sweat, but he is about to release a full another live sweat series to make up for it. The end result will be a much longer run of Casey videos.

Regarding the SNGs, we always get requests for sit and go tournaments, and feel like they fall under the banner of tournaments. Obviously this wouldn’t be the majority of our videos but we do not feel they are out of our category as much as cash game videos would be. Especially since SNGs can teach you a bit about shorthanded play.

Lighten up Bmakk! Like to see something different occasionally. Like Marc Aliato doing dons, or some sngs for bankroll building in order to have the buyins for more mtt’s.

    bmarkk,
I guess you woke up on the wrong foot this morning.

Sit back and watch the video again and even you will learn something. Never a bad idea to see Bigdog playing some bankroll builders.

So calm down and relax. No need to be so harsh.

Even though I don’t play SNG’s much anymore and primarily play MTT’s, I think that you gain tons in these videos. I mean when you final table or get near the money bubble, what are we playing? If you play on merge they are equivalent to turbo sngs with shallow play. I think these vids are great in regards to push/fold in which we all need to (or at least I do) get better in. Anytime BigDog speaks, it is work a lot more than $23.95….so apprciate what he says and apply it to your tourney play. Best of luck at the tables!!

The truth is I did a live sweat theory and my laptop was on the fritz. It didnt render properly. My laptop since blew up on me and I have a new one. But except part 1 my series was shot so I did this at the last minute as to have a video. I still think there is some value in it. I am currently going to do a live sweat and a review of my bigger 109 win on stars. Sorry for the issues on the last live sweat series but it was beyond mine or anyones control.

OK, it wasn’t supposed to sound like I’m the biggest jerk in the world but seeing it again, it did.

That being said, I’m disapointed with this video. Bigdog is a feel player and a darn good one. Seing him hood flops and outplay opponents is something which can’t been teached. But hyper turbo sit and go where calling ranges, shoving ranges are not explained leave a lot on the table in my honest opinion.

This site has helped me so much and many videos here are excellent. But the customers must keep the buisness on its toes.

@bmakk:why a sng vid? for example its a good way to satty in the sunday million through 3xshootout 6max turbo sngs – so theres definetly a connection to mtts.;)

i agree its not bd’s best vid but under the explained circumstanes its ok, and still you can get sth out of it, and the last 3 mins … πŸ™‚

cant wait for the 109er review!!!

bigdog …all your videos are classified as gold for me.
You are the best teacher here.
The other pro`s are also very good and smart but they all belong to the sleeping pill category.

Thanks TeBeFactor everyone has their favourites. I think we have a great roster of coaches and there is something for everyone no matter who’s teaching style you like. But I do appreciate these positive messages every once in a while. Sometimes people can really hammer you when you make a bad play (which I fully admit we all do from time to time). But thats the thing about poker there is no perfect way to play everytime. So thanks bro appreciate it. Casey

I thought this video was great, something different every once in a while is refreshing.

maybe once a month we could have a different series, be that SNGs or more omaha etc etc

  12. Donskey

Laptop on the fritz??? Wot happened, did it go flying across the room and hit a brick wall like mine do sometimes? :p

    PS, is bmakk serious??

Great stuff, as others have said, sooner or later you get in these push/fold spots in MTTs and vids like this can only be beneficial.

  13. Richard

meh, only watched a few minutes, shoving and calling ranges are too tight, this isn’t gonna help me learn much. When you folded your bb to a less than 3 bb shove that was too painful to watch so I turned the video off

  14. Bytie_nl

Not to fall short regarding other coaches as I defenitely appreciate the style differences and the proven quality of many many vids of them, but for me it was you bigdogpckt5s when i met you at a table one day getting me off my KK (sic!), who lead me to the TPE community with all the possibillities to look for little and sometimes real bright diamonds of insight in the videos, next to the podcasts, forum and chat. For that i will be forever gratefull..! Keep ‘m coming…

  15. jamesath

    Hey there,

I was just wondering if at 9.30 the Qh2h was the correct fold. You have him covered and there’s already 600 in the pot compared to him 1k stack. On reflection is it still a fold? IMO it’s a defo shove

  16. MTT Student

Oh man , the whole neighbourhood woke up in the last minutes of this vid. because me laughing my balls off. Perhaps you managed to confuse some students 1,2,3,4,5 clubs rigged? πŸ™‚

I generally play SNGs and so was pleased to see this video listing. Enjoyed it but do have a couple of comments. I think the dude at top has a point about the lack of discussion relating to push and call ranges. I also noted one or two players on multiple tables, I think this could have been mentioned again in respect to shoving\ calling lighter against players that appear competent etc.

  18. panicattck

Disagree. Hyper turbos are a great way to qualify for MTTs at a lower buyin level. It also adds some FPPs to the process. I usually play the Big $11 daily by qualifying through hyper turbos. I generally takes 1-3 hypers for me to get in thus lowering the overall buyin for the Big $11. Today I won the first $4 hyper I played and thus played the Big $11 for $4. Big advantage. So I think these videos can be really useful for MTTers. I know Jorj95 loves to play the 6 man hypers to big buyin tourneys and obviously he sees value in them.

It’s been a while since anyone posted on this video.
BigDog, thanks for the great content.
I have a question. At 24:00 you hold A9s in UTG+1 near the beginning and open shove. It looks like in the rest of the video you are playing tight in both UTG and UTG+1. Do you think A9s could be a fold here? You did say ‘just because I’m feelin’ it’ so I am wondering if it is too tight to fold A9s in UTG+1 ear on?
    Thanks again.

  20. derSchwartz

Sorry I now realize you actually say that sometimes you would fold. But I guess I mean do you think that after a few years since this video A9s is more of a fold than it was?
