Nice vid, I’ve noticed you started minraising instead of making it like 2.1 or 2.2x. Is that out of laziness or is there strategy involved in doing this from your point of view?

Also why dont you like 3 betting stacks that have around 25 big blinds? I personally 3 bet those stacks a lot because it puts them to the test since they can’t really flat your 3 bet, they either have to shove or fold. Great way to pick up chips and put your opponent to the test imo, would like your thoughts, cheers.

Im also starting to 3 bet into these stacks for the same reason. Other bigger name pro’s have got me on this and I think it is a huge way to accumulate. They realize they are opening a 20-25 bb stack, so they think you need a real hand to be 3 betting. Great pt

D Jace pointed this out a while back in his 100k series..if your not attacking 20-25bb stacks w 3bets then your missing out..handcuffed stack, and we all know when you are there u are desperately trying to chip up..so are they…usually snap folds..obv reads are important..but even the “rocks” are opening lighter in pos, and cant call the 3bets…rock on

eh, I hate being critical but I really don’t feel like Marc adds anything to this series. I would much prefer just to see bigdog commentary rather than Marc sneaking in here and there with comments that are either swinging from bigdogs nuts or not really insightful.

I mean no disrespect Marc, but Im pretty sure im not the only one who feels this way and even though I hate giving neg feedback, I can’t really hold my tongue when I think it could be beneficial in the future for bigdog to fly solo.

I just feel that it is detracting from the quality of videos and also drawing bigdog into having to talk about some pretty standard things that he really shouldn’t have to. For example: When Marc says “oh I can’t believe you didn’t 3bet the T3o there, you are bigdog”, or “Bigdog nitting up by folding the 6 high there”. They are just spots that he didn’t play for the clear fact that he was being stacksize aware and they were bad spots. But he seemingly has to continually say to Marc “Oh yeah well there is this stack, this one, and this one etc etc”. It’s annoying.

Anyways, had my piece. Again, I mean no disrespect, I just hope that this can be considered when deciding on future series because I really enjoy the bigdog vids.

Marc…U are funny, funny is good…poker is dry enough as it is. Don’t mind these sourpussies. I for one like a laugh when watching a pokervid.

the best thing about marc is he ask’s leading questions so that bigdog can answer them. i agree he could tone down the “you are the bigdog” type stuff but personally i think this is one of the best series on the site because of the banter.

I personally think the are a great team, and while the primary reason i am a member on here is to learn, it is also helps to make a video that is entertaining as well. I also love them both when they are on podcasts together.
Ye some of the spots he comments on sometimes are pretty obv and standard but maybe not to every member on here. Keep up the good work guys.

strongly disagree, marcs input is very useful as brings more information out of bigdog, specifically regarding alot of the game flow stuff that big dog takes into account but usually wouldnt elaborate on. I also think in general pros reviewing their own hh by themselves can be somewhat limited, whenever a non standard line is taken the answer is usually, “i normally do this but for whatever reason or read at the time decided to do this” where as in this series there is more discussion of alternate lines.

strongly agree. his mouth is literally wrapped around bigdawgs nuts. But seems like a nice guy, just annoying when your here trying to learn..

Can someone figure out if that 34o hand has enough equity to call assuming if we win the hand we are basically guaranteed a FT.

  11. AllDayMcCray

My thinking was that once he flats it pre it isn’t even a tough decision with that flop, even assuming someone has a flush draw, think it is a pretty simple call. We can of course debate the preflop call but I don’t think it was all that crazy.
