Hey TPE community,

As some of you may have seen in my recent posts, after a long poker hiatus (after Black Friday and quite the losses, thank god for BTC (BitCoin), I have been back at it with a vengeance. Back in the day I “dabbled” with HUD’/Database software (they were fairly new and some didn’t even exist). I now have legit license for PT4 and HM2 Combo (Hold EM and Omaha) + all add-ons. I started to again “dabble”, but being I was’t really taking advantage of them they got in the way more than anything else (also I am building my NEW MTT Poker rig, just got a new PC, and waiting for holiday deals for a GREAT chair, Varidesk, and 2 diesel displays), but with my newly unleashed skills and rig I REALLy want to MASTER both. First I think some may say “pick one”. Problem is I like BOTH. PT4 is more cerebral, HM2 much richer, visual and lots of add-ons and custom HUD’s etc. Down to my real question. Can anyone point me to specific vids/articles on this site (and any free info on YT, the web etc.), that will really jump start my mastering the learning curve of these programs. My first goal is getting the most effective and minimalist configs going, and than from there digging in. Any and all info, links, vids (here and elsewhere) etc. is MUCH appreciated. Also I will say PT4’s forums are very good. I just got my HM2 license so I am not sure about theirs yet.

Thanks in advance guys,

ER

I think that once you get used to either program the main difference is that PT4 uses a lot less system resources, while HEM2 has a lot more ‘after market parts’ that can be added.

If you’re looking for help setting up a HUD I think this video by Splitsuit is a good starting point. Might be a little dated, but it upped my HUD game hard when I watched it.

As for session reviews I’d have to know more about what you’re looking to accomplish to know where to point you.

If you still feel you need more than the ready material, I can help. I’m more free at nights and on the weekends. Im in analytics at a large company and routinely work with programs like hem and pt, and could definitely help you master some of it.
