i have been pretty card dead since sitting at the table for about 2 hours. i oppen UTG with AQ for 25. i get one guy next my left and folds around to big blind who calls.

 flop Qh5s9c

i lead out for 45, guy to my left calls and bb folds.

turn is Qx

i bet 135 aprox and get called.

river is a kh and i jam river for about 230 more.

now that i think about it , this is a terrible card because if i put him on kq he just got there. after i jammed river he looks at me with disgust like i just got there. right there i knew  i was beat. he then called and showed 5s full. i wasnt thinking, i guess i was finally happy to get a playable hand after 2 hours and wasnt  thinking to slowing down. i think either bet check bet or bet bet check/call would have been beter lines to take. what do you think?

Seems fine to me, and I think you're being more than a little results-oriented. In particular, I can't see how check-calling the river could possibly be better than betting. If it's really so easy to get your opponent to fold all hands weaker than a full house by triple barreling, then you should be triple barrel bluffing an awful lot.

Really only thing that should concern you about the K on the river is KQ, KK, JT.  He didn't reraise you preflop so you can almost disregard KK.  I would have played it the same way you did.
