New to tpe and currently playing a little .02/.04nl full ring game on merge. Thought I’d throw a interesting hand out there in hopes of a discussion.

MP1 limps then it folds to me in the sb, I call with J9o and the bb checks. Flop comes j44ss, myself and the bb check and MP1 bets .12, I call and the bb folds. Turn is Ks I check, he bets .36 I c/r to .90 and he 3bets to 1.44 and I fold.

Thoughts: i have MP1 player covered and stacks are 75bb effective. he open limps then bets the flop after bb and i check, I should probably have raised here but out of pos I chose not to c/r. The turn completes the flush draw but I decided to c/r (I now think this is a bad idea, not that it matters). Then he 3bets me and I have no idea where I’m at.

Preflop is fine. I lead flop if I think it is likely to check through to avoid overcards on the turn. Flop x/c is fine as well. Turn is probably a x/f because he can have flushes, better Jx, and random Kx that stabbed at the flop in position. He can also be barreling a big spade and/or a straightdraw, but I think we have to fold to a river barrel anyway so turn x/f is best. I check fold turn without worrying about it too much because it is a limped pot.

yea i think my c/r on the turn is terrible now with the overcard and 3flush. i just cant narrow any kind of range with the line he took from the beginning, and thats the part thats messing with me.

i appreciate your thoughts

Remember you are playing .02/.04, you can profit just by playing by the book and waiting for people to give you chips.  Honestly I probably just fold pre here.
