Hi everyone! My name is Paul.  I live in a small town in Colorado and work as a geologist.  I’m 34, and married with two kids.

I started playing poker in about 2003 on partypoker and a small site with animated characters called TruePoker and found my way to stars and full tilt.  For some unknown reason, my interest was most piqued by PLO8 mtts, and they are probably my favorite to this day.  I left online poker behind after black friday.  After that I was near Reno for work quite a bit, and hopped in some live holdem tournies, and 4/8 O8 cash at the Peppermill.

In 2015, I happened to open the 10 year old TruePoker client, and to my suprise I was whisked into the Winning Poker Network with a $164 balance!  WPN had a good bit of traffic, and I found myself playing MTTs again!  These days I play mid-stakes MTTs on WPN and Ignition, play a home game no limit tournament once a week, and occasionally drive 4 hours to Black Hawk for MSPT and Heartland regional events.

I’ve been listening to the Thinking Poker Podcast for about a year now, and recently started watching Killingbird and others on Twitch, and decided to throw down for a membership on the Triangle Beagle Rescue fundraising stream last night.  At first glance, the content on this site looks awesome, and I feel a kid at Christmas.  In the short-term, I’m excited to pick Nate Meyvis’s brain on the intricacies of short-stacked PLO8 spots.  In the long-term, I want to play my best every time I hit the virtual or live felt.  Thanks for reading, and let’s get it on!
