Hey folks! I have been taking lessons from Andrew, and figured I’d dive into the whole TPE experience and try to meet some like-minded gamblers here. I’m a rec player with a day job, but I’d like to think I’m a pretty serious rec (by that I mean, I take poker seriously. I sure hope I don’t take myself too seriously). Last year I played a total of 88 live tournaments with an ABI of $761.
I’m just now diving into the videos here but I’m really intrigued by all the theory vids; I’m pretty sure my ICM game has a ton of holes in it and I hope I can change that.
It should be a fun year of poker ahead. Tentative plan is to travel Eastern Europe for most of SCOOP, then spend weekends in Vegas during the WSOP. I’m currently living in London but moving back to my native USA in May (though I don’t know where yet). Hope to see some of you at the series this summer!

Where are you living in London Joe? I have lived all over town, from Tottenham and Bruce Grove to Wood Green and Palmers Green, Southgate, Hammersmith, and finally to where I own my own place today…Heathrow.

Nice! I am in Kilburn and I like it a lot. Very convenient to the Grosvenor casino. Do you ever play there? The structures there are pretty awesome for their low buy-in tournaments.

Sorry Joe just seen this…Kilburn eh? I work in Harlesden, so very close. But truth be told, I have never played live. If I played live, I will dress up in a straight jacket with a balaclava and shades, looking like an IRA soldier with mental issues undercover, and in this way I can hide my tells. I drive lorries in London, do you know the Palm Beach in Mayfair? My mate Mick, who used to be a pimp, was the Mayfair driver. He used to do the delivery, get the chef to check it and sign it off, then when the chef walked away, he’d put half the order back on his trolley and walk out..then sell it round the corner. Brother, I could tell you some stories in London!

Grosvenor is down the A5 in Victoria no? Hold on, its nowhere near Victoria, but I swear it used to be called the Vic or something? I heard Sam Squid and Devilfish were regs there back in the day?
