After a short hiatus it is high time we crank up Cycle VIII of our TPE DU HomeGame.

Thought we'd wait for Benny in the end, 'cause we all enjoy busting him.

We'll start 2100 ACST on Monday 7th October…..

For the newcomers the details are:

  • Top 6 places get points (pokerstars point system).
  • Cycle runs for 6 weeks.
  • Entry fee will be calculated on the basis of the number of players (~$100-150 buyin).
  • Funds are held in trust until required by the champ, runner-up and 3rd place-getter.
  • Each weekly game has a $5 buyin with the top 10% of players sharing the cheese.
  • Cycle champ receives $1.1K for a live event, and owns 50% of themselves, the remaining 50% distributed to the members proportionate to their score.
  • 2nd place receives a $215 Sunday Million buyin (50% share) and 3rd entry to the Big $109 (50% share).
  • Skype conference call participation is encouraged.
  • TPE membership is essential.
To join go to pokerstars homegames, join a poker club,  ID: 689262, Enter Invitation Code: TPEdge_DU .
You won't regret it. We're currently well in the Black!
Check out the previous Cycle threads to get a feel for what goes on.

Weekly game, every Monday for 6 weeks. Missing one isn’t a problem as only the first 6 get points… So theoretically you can be first to bust every week and not get any points. It has happened before, but I daren’t mention the tilt monkey’s name!!!

random side note.  was looking through google analytics at our top cities for visits to TPE.  As I remember, 4 of the top 10 were in Australia.  I thought that was pretty cool!  Pretty sure it's due to all of our awesome members down there spreading the word!!

Congratulations to Hititflush for coming out of nowhere and destroying the regs… 'twas tight at the end hinging on Dales' result.  We could've had our first HU tie break! Good luck at the WSOP APAC mate, if that's what you choose to play.

We're going to go straight into back-to-back cycles, 7 and 8 weeks, respectively.  The aim is to time it so we can offer two more buyins to the WSOP which is scheduled for early April.

I'll start another thread…. so spread the word….

Cheers Cousteer… Yes was a sweat, however sneaking into the pts in the last round just got me over then line so overall was obviously pleased with result, however there is certainly alot of room for improvement.

Anyone wondering wether or not they should play, why not give it a crack… I am now researching and considering the best WSOP APAC schedule for me in 2014… Something I didn't think I would be doing 6 weeks ago!!! Looking forward to Cycle 9 and going back to back!!!  smile
