We are very excited to launch the very first cycle of the Tournament Poker Edge League! This is an opportunity for members to compete against each other for bragging rights, cash and special prizes!
You will find all of the details below. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
This is also a great opportunity to let you know that FkCoolers has been chosen as a mod for the site. He has become an avid poster and valuable member of the community and we could not be happier to have him in this role.
As part of his mod duties. FkCoolers has been kind enough to run the league so feel free to PM him with any questions or just post here.
1. How much does it cost to enter?
Events range from $3.00+.30 to $5.00+.50 on POKER STARS
2. What games are played?
At present the schedule is 2 events a week for 10 weeks. One tournament on a weeknight and one on Saturday afternoon
First tournament will be October 4th.
3. How does the league ranking system work?
- Total of 20 tournaments.
- You may play any amount of tournaments.
- You accumulate “points” for your performance in the tournaments.
- At the end of the cycle, the players are awarded a prize pool based on a total of their best 10 results.
- At the end of the cycle, the top 3 players (may change based on number of entries) with the most points who played a minimum of 6 events are awarded prizes.
- The points count resets every 10 weeks (after 20 events).
4 How are points awarded per tournament?
Points are awarded to all who participate in a tournament, using the following system:
Points = [# of Runners in Tournament ] – ([Place Finished] – 1)
Suppose we have a tournament with 30 runners:
1st: 30 points (30 -(1 – 1))
2nd: 29 points (30 -(2 – 1))
30th: 1 point (30 -(30 – 1))
5. What is the tournament structure used?
At present, we're using the regular T1500 (not turbo) starting chips structure for all events.
Future cycles may include different structures and different games.
6. What is the payout structure for individual tournaments?
Approximately top 15% are paid based on Poker Stars standard structure.
7. What is the payout structure of the league?
In addition to money won in individual tourneys, we will be adding prizes for the top finishers in the league. Exact places paid will be determined based on number of people in the league, but prizes will include:

TPE Hoodie
One Month Subscription to Sharkscope
Year Subscription to Bluff Magazine
Skull Candy Headphones
…and possibly more!

Post in this thread by Sunday October 3rd, with your Stars Name for tracking purposes.
FkCoolers will be the official mod of the league and will update scoring in this thread as well as upcoming tournament passwords.
Check here for Tournament IDs and Passwords and enter the tournament on Poker Stars.

Set an appointment in outlook or whatever e-mail program you use.
