I've been dealing with this problem for as long as I can remember.  It has bothered me most of my life and i've found ways to deal with it by being organized and making notes of things that I may need to remember.  But it's something that i've neglected when it comes to my poker game.  Studying can become difficult and honestly im not sure if it has something to do with my spewey calls at times.  So I guess what i'm asking is have you dealt with such a thing before and what steps do you recommend someone with this condition take to help cope with this?   As always thanks for the advice.

I sure have dealt with this and it actually doesnt have to be such a negative aspect of your personality when it comes to poker. Keeping short shapr sessions, as well as implementing the reset phsyiology exercise will help keep your mind active and sharp during your sessions.

Also implementing a focus exercise, to help you strengthen your minds ability to stay focused on one thing at a time, as well as blocking out other distractions will help you get on top of this. Meditation is another fantastic exercise you should begin practising to help slow your mind down, as well as helping you to remain in the present, as a lot of ADD is having your mind wonder to somewhere other then the here and now, so this would help greatly.

GL and looking forward to your feedback!!

Its funny you should mention using meditation.  I'd been using it usually before my sessions and it seemed to help a bit.  I've made a concerned effort to pre plan what tournys I plan on playing and cutting down on the number of games I have up at once.  I've also been using the chat to help me keep from getting disinterested in what it is im doing.  What do you suggest in terms of focus exercises.  I've never actually sought out actual medical advice on my condition cause it seems like there is just speculative treatment for it.  But i'd love to hear what sorts of focus exercises I could do to help this out.

Thanks again for your help!!

I'v found meditation works alot better after exercising or a yoga session. I practice Kundalini Yoga there are lots of yoga dvd's about, I used to have a great starting one called “Kundalini_Yoga” that I downloaded from pitate bay, it also introduces you to meditation. Theres also a great video on youtube that tells you alot about meditation and how to do it properly, its done in a type of cartoon. If you cant find it ask and i'll send you the link.
