My roommate bubbled 3$ rebuy yesterday. we have disagreement about his last hand. So I decided to ask you guys. Blinds just went up, we are 3/10 and we have agro chip leader at our table with 68 hands sample and 56% steal percentage. Is this a standart spot? should we risk and take downs what is in middle or should we avoid risking our tournament life against chip leader?

P.S We both are applying cougars4444 style in our game so it would great to hear his thoughts.

its a bit of an overjam but also depends on your read of the player. it also looks like you have the minimum amount of chips here for a 3 bet fold as i wouldnt 3 bet fold with much less. it being 5 handed and the aggression level of the villain makes the shove +ev in where he needs to have a hand  to call based on the amount of chips you have. but fwiw i have shipped it in many times in this spot.

Given the stack sizes and the fact that is a 5 handed table, I would shove this in that spot just about every time. If you lose, you lose, just gotta wait for the next one.

Second in chips w/ two shorties….

Not a spot to test the CL IMO. I think 3 bet folding is the most reasonable option but I don't love it.

Would flatting be an option? Bail if you miss?

i dont think it is necessary to reship 28bb. yes, it is most likley a +ev reshove mit KQs if villian is opening a wide range. but addin his 3.x raise plus the blinds and antes isnt gonna make up for the fact that he sometimes has a real hand and ur going to be flipping at best.

3bet/folding is a nice move in my opinion, but KQs is way too strong to do that.

i like flatcalling an playing a flop, if u miss the flop u loose 2.x bb if u hit toppair or better u will probably win a medium pot most of the time.

sidenote: is that villians std raise size? its a lil more than 3bb and he probably typed it in (didnt use the scrollbar). maybe that a tell about his hand strength, or a sign that he isnt going to fold anyways.

villain standard rise size was 2.5bb but we noticed it after hand when viewed HH.

Yeah, my first instinct was to flat here even though we're out of position. I am completely ruling out 3 bet/fold as an option and shoving 28 bb's here seems like too much.

3/10 is a comfy spot on the FT bubble so I'd rather abuse and eventually bust one of these 9 bb stacks than maybe take a huge coin flip situation against the 1 guy at our table who can bust us.

Wow this is pretty tough.  Normally I would say 3b shove despite him having so many chips.  I don't think I'm ever 3b/folding with this strong of a hand with these stack sizes.  I actually dont love flatting but it might be the best option based on the 5bb and 9bb stack at our table and I'm sure some other real shorties at the other table.  I know I've just shipped it in this situation a lot of times as well but I think based on us being 3/10 and the shorties at the table the best play based on circumstances is to flat here.

I think I actually fold with all these shorties here.  I'll wait til we move up in the prize pool before taking this spot.  When we hit the final table, we can be really patient and wait for spots while nine handed, and also move up in money as we stay patient/wait for better spots.
