First off, with out being results orientated – I admit this is really bad. And secondly Im usually reluctant to post due to looking like an idiot, and I was here but I need to address why this is so bad and resolve it mentally.

FT Mini Sunday Kick Off Stars

BTN: 23.02 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)
SB: 21.87 BB (VPIP: 22.34, PFR: 19.54, 3Bet Preflop: 13.16, Hands: 94)
BB: 12.33 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 14.48, 3Bet Preflop: 6.45, Hands: 151)

MP: 60.03 BB (VPIP: 30.00, PFR: 15.00, 3Bet Preflop: 10.00, Hands: 20)

8 players post ante of 0.1 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.3 BB) Hero has Adiamond Kclub

fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, CO raises to 4 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 27.64 BB and is all-in, CO calls 23.64 BB

Flop: (57.57 BB, 2 players) 6club Tdiamond 5club

Turn: (57.57 BB, 2 players) 5heart

River: (57.57 BB, 2 players) 7spade

Bleh right? Ive just put my tournament life on the line against a villain with what I think is quite tight 3 bet stats with AKo plus ICM to consider. Maybe there is fold equity, but I’m going bust here like maybe more than 40% of the time and I didn’t need to take this spot.

Would you click it back here and fold to a 5 bet or just call and reevaluate on the flop?

[spoil]Hero shows Adiamond Kclub (One Pair, Fives)
(Pre 7%, Flop 2%, Turn 0%)
CO shows Aclub Aheart (Two Pair, Aces and Fives)
(Pre 93%, Flop 98%, Turn 100%)
CO wins 57.57 BB
[/spoil]

I think is too big to 4bet all in, specially when V makes it 4bb, but if you make a 4bet raise you are almost comitting yourself to the pot, out of position and won´t be abble to cbet a lot of flops. I like to call and reevaluate after, maybe call one bet. But I am usually on the cautios side.

First off congratulations for getting to the FT of at tournament.

I think myself and many others here will have and will continue to make the exact same “mistake” that you have, so dont berate yourself too much. It sucks its a decent FT, it sucks you ran AK, into AA, and it really sucks that it is one of the couple of stacks that had you covered.

The warning sign was the min 3bet (nearly always a fishy raise size, and one that still induces me) however you have AK. if you jst fold here then we are massively exploitable as this is near top of our range. Flatting is totally reasonable and taking a flop, given the number of shorter stacks there are. I really dont think I or many are going to be able to 4bet fold this spot given stack size.

Definitely not too big to 4-bet all-in. You have no other real option here – 4-betting small looks too strong and risks villain making big folds, and flatting is just going to result in you failing to realise equity when you miss the flop. Get it in all day.

If it makes you feel any better, I bubbled the FT not too long ago, ran into AA with AQs in late pos vs an aggro blind.

With these insane field sizes it always hurts a lot when you make it this far and run in a “cooler” like you did with your AKo.

Just remember, to get this far you probably cooler tons of other players on your way, otherwise no one can withstand these 8k+ fields.

GG and just UL imo. We could opt for a 5bet-fold or flat if stacks were 40BB+, but not in this spot.

edit: My mistake: I actually FTbubbled the $22 mini sunday million, not the mini warmup.
