Ok hand A you should open there. Its def not a shove through the whole table with this many bbs. I would open and If I had to fold depending on action. Not sure its profitable to shove 23 or 24 bigs through the whole table with K hi. Hand 2 is a snap shove for me. Especially given the dyanamic that the limper has already showed he is willing to limp and fold. I def shove hand 2 and I do not open shove hand 1.

Thanks for the quick reply big dog…

Lets take Hand A now…  At what stack size with KQs there are you open shoving? Also, you say I should open there…  What hands are you opening to a raise there utg?  Obviously, my call range is read/stack dependent, but what is my opening range?

i do agree that i prefer an open to a shove in hand 1. although in a $4 mtt, maybe its just a fold. i think it depends a lot on your table and what you’ve been doing and what your image is. in general, though, i’d minraise and see what happens behind. but for the record KQs is a +EV shove there. i’d probably start shoving it with around 15-18BB. idk it depends a lot on the table.

hand 2 i think is a fold. even without the limper i’m not shoving 33 from UTG+2. add to that the fact that players like this love to limp/call with small to medium sized pairs and we have 33 i just don’t like the spot. it’s a hand that any hand has good equit against. the only hands we are happy to see are A2/A3/22, and even most of those have 30%.

i’d wait for a spot where there are fewer people to get through to open shove, and with your stack would still be looking for spots to resteal.
