Ok so i've been running like crap to the point I might need a poker break.  But the first hand of 4.40 180 on stars I get QQ utg.  I make it 80 and MP1 makes it 380 and right to his left shoves (WTF).  I end up getting it in and the reraiser calls.  MP1 has KK and MP2 has 10's.  No one improves KK takes it.  With 1.5k starting stacks is it correct to fold.  I thought I was beat but I forgot where I had left my fold button.

First hand of a 4.40 180 I have seen people shove any two. You have no reads, you assume most of these guys are bad a double up would ensure you probably go at least somewhat deep. Im never folding QQ there. I have seen 77 get it in there and KJs+.

I just had that feeling like I was beat in that spot.  Seems like ive seen that bet sizing only when its large pairs.  Dont know if anyone else at the micro-stakes has noticed that as well.  But I kinda felt like it could've been my mindset at that moment.  Oh well we'll get em next time.

stick it in……larger field MTT I may consider a fold as a quick double up doesn;t help as much as it does in only a 180 person tourny

I completly agree with jdogs arguments,

but with this kind of action you are most of the time beat by one of the two villains. Naturally you see some players spazz out with

77+ or Kjs+.

But its the first hand of the tourney. The 4s are well structured to the buy in ratio imo. And there will be better spots,

many passive Abc guys in there.

Imo on the long run a fold will do the job.

Fold QQ is pretty bad. Get your chips in. Not only because it's +EV, but imagine what you could do with a big stack in a tournament like this 🙂

we are in this for the long run though….not just this one 4.40…….sure sometimes we will be up against AA/KK……but those other tournys where they spazz out will make up for it…..1st hand and a random no probablom getting it in with qq…..do it enough times and it will show a profit in these even though we are crushed a few times here and there along the way.
