Playing these spots is a leak in my game so I am going to keep posting them until I get better.  I am pretty sure that I know what I should have done here but I am interested to see the advice I get…

Villain has only 13 games logged in opr and I have a feeling will call a bit wider than he should.

What is my line on the flop here?

thoughts?

I think 3betting is the better option over flatting even tho we are almost 50bbs deep… his range is gonna be prettyyyyyyyyyy wide from that spot and your gonna have to just give up on a ton of flops if u just flat oop.  I like the sizing as well since your oop, bet like 2300-2500 on the flop and give up to a raise or call if u dont bink turn, i prolly bet like 2455 since its such a dry flop, u could prolly even bet less if you had position but oop i like to make cbets a tad bigger

Great spot to talk about. Looking forward to hearing the expert views.

Any reads on him? Any HUD figures?

I think you did the right thing 3 betting pre and nice sizing.

With that sort of dry flop he’s likely to float nearly all your bets with his 3 bet call range (unless you’ve been really nitty) in position. So I’d set up a plan with a strong line.

I’d opt for a bet that leaves a turn pot size shove. So I’d bet 2,400~ expect him to call then shove on the turn. This will have a good chance of getting him off a pocket pair 10s and below as well as AK, AQ. If he’s hit his set or got QQ+ then congratulations him.

I don’t like check/folding after you 3bet which you’ll have to do if he fires… unless… you check, shove?… perhaps that is the best thing to do?

I look forward to hearing the pros thoughts!

go with 3bet pre oop high percentage of times. i think this play is fine. flatting range for villian likely 88 to JJ,  I like ninja’s line of thought. that should get him off 88, 99, maybe 10s hero call with only one over if he puts u on ak or aq type hands. do we have a read on villian and a little more imprtant wt do we think villians read on us is. that may determine his call or fold when we get it in on turn with air…..

hope this helps….

Is he really gong to float me light here considering or stack sizes and how much strength I have represented allready?  I see him playing more fit or fold on this flop personally.  I think  a 3-bet and half pot c-bet this shallow in this spot seems to rep a ton of strength in my mind.

thoughts???
