Don’t like my flop bet sizing, and the turn card should have been one of the exact cards I slow down to….yellyell

I am probably leading out here also. I don’t hate your sizing, its a dangerous board, you want to thin out the players. That said I dont think anyone with open ended straight draw or the flush draw is folding getting 2-1 in any case, so I’d rather just bet 2/3rd pot to charge the draw and get value from someone with top pair hopefully.

But yes, when the A turns, it completes a draw, and I’m slowing down as you say…prob check calling…poss chk/folding.

What would be the advantage of check-calling vs betting?

I think I like a check on the flop better.  any turn diamond or K,Q,A,9 we are in rough shape against. Everything else we fire.

Eek! I don’t like that…there are far too many players in the hand and that’s far too many cards can cripple us…

I am playing at the moment so I’m just quickly looking at all this. I think that question is aimed at me…I will think about it tomorrow at work but my quick response is to say trip 2’s are just a bluff catcher now. I don’t want to put any further money in, and I’m hoping V is going to check behind. If the river bricks I will check-call a bet from V, because he might be betting a missed diamond draw.

I’m probably being a dolt…but that’s the gist of my thinking…I’ll have a better think tomoz!

Ok, I was thinking about what Andrew said in his 3rd part of Diving into the Mailbag series and totally forgot it ignores multiway pots. I guess if it was heads up a check/raise on the flop would be most correct most of the time and some of the time check/jam but never leading?
