Just after the bubble bursts in a WSOP 1K.

Hero has TT and opens UTG1 to 2400 at 500/1000 with 100 ante. JC calls in the BB.

Flop J64 with 2 hearts. Hero bets 4000 into 6200. JC calls.

Turn offsuit 2. Hero bets 9000 into 14200. JC calls.

River offsuit J. JC bets 16000 into 32200. Hero has about 32000 behind.

No relevant history between them as far as I know.

Caveat: This response treats “Jordan Cristos” as merely as “good player”, not based on any specific read about him, which could certainly change answer.

I’d say you should definitely not call with the Th in your hand, as it blocks bluffs. Otherwise, you’re probably indifferent at equilibrium.

I don’t love the turn bet TBH. Jordan has plenty of Jx in his range, and I don’t know that he needs to call with a whole lot of non-Jx hands to keep you indifferent to bluffing.

My thoughts exactly. I had some fleeting idea that there are only 4 combos of JT, but this is less relevant given that he called out of BB as opposed to MP or something.

I’d most likely go smaller pretty much everywhere including pre. Agree with Andrew that turn is a little thin unless JC expects you to double barrel a ton.

Your turn barrel frequency also has a big bearing on whether you call river or not – if you barrel turn with all Jx (which I expect you do since you’re betting TT), then you comfortably have enough Jx here to call all of that stuff plus strong pairs without a heart, raise some nutted stuff and a few bluffs, and then fold the rest.

If you were barrelling turn with a more polar range then this one would be interesting. You’d still have a few Jx but not much, so you’d have to start calling a little more with heart-blocker overpairs, I’m guessing.
