So we're a little more than half way through a $2.50 180 man when this hand happens:

Poker Stars $2.28+$0.22 No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t150/t300 Blinds + t25 – 9 players – View hand 2276492
TournamentPokerEdge.com Hand History Converter

UTG: BB = 6.7, t2010
UTG+1: BB = 4.5, t1356
UTG+2: BB = 15.5, t4645
MP1: BB = 15.3, t4579
MP2: BB = 3.3, t980
CO: BB = 20.2, t6073
BTN: BB = 36.2, t10868
SB: BB = 14.1, t4229
Hero (BB): BB = 24.0, t7208

Pre Flop: (t675) Hero is BB with J of diamonds K of hearts
5 folds, CO calls t300, 1 fold, SB calls t150, Hero ???

The decision is easier here for me if it's agains someone who's much shorter stacked, but this is one of the two guys at the table that can actually do some damage to my stack.  Should I raise to defend? Check and evaluate on the flop?  Is a shove completely out of the question (I think it is, but I might be wrong…..)

Thanks,

maybe its a leak of mine, but i shove here all day. against a limping range you do pretty well in general, as AJ and AK will quite often be raised pre. I tend to treat limps as low pairs and crappy broadway hands if i am otherwise readless.

especially against a CO limp, i think you have an incredible amount of fold equity here and i think your shove goes through a huge percentage of the time.

gotta be careful of EP limps when shoving this though
