Im guess im pretty sad but i was watching the final table of the sunday rebuy (109r) on pokerstars as some great players were playing in it. It got down to three handed with Dragonwarrior who i think is canadian pro, monsterdong who is very good aussie pro and of course djk123 who i believe is the most successful player in scoop/wcoop history, blinds are 40000/80000 dragon warrior has like 2.9 million, djk123 has like 2.5 million and monster dong has like 1.8 million.

Dragon Warrior opens utg and djk123 quickly 3 bet shoves all his chips with 107 suited, Dragonwarrior thinks for a moment and then calls with AQ0 and wins when board bricks out, so djk123 is out third for 25k (not bad!) but is this why he is such a successful player because shorthanded he is three bet shoving air hands when stacks are not that deep?

I imagine in his career he has shoved in these spots many times and accumulated a lot of chips when his opponents fold there hands quite often. is his logic that if dragonwarrior folds he picks up a lot of chips uncontested and if he calls then he will have like 40% equity a lot of the time.

Is this a play that other players would make short handed at a big money final table? who could say he is wrong he has millions i think, seems like incredible player.

Id be interested to hear TPE members thoughts on his play here. Is it almost standard or not at all.

Nothing sad about watching some final table replays on Stars. Good to watch the play and try to pick up some tips. When I do get to a final table, I always feel inexperienced just because I haven't had that many in my limited time playing. So anything to make you feel more comfortable when you get there yourself is good.

Probably trying to ICM screw people. How many hands can Dragonwarrier actually call with there with such large pay jumps?
