I have seen how BigDOg plays the early stages, only premium and agressive, including AQ, AK with 3bet. Thats fine, and it makes it easier to play the hand pos-flop if u 3bet pre-flop I suppose.

BigDog has loads of success so I am not even argue about if this strategy is good ot not…It works for him.

Im more likely to just call with AK or AQ, JJ, QQ and see a flop, especially when u start with 100BB, 3000 chips. My strategy makes me fold in the flop a lot more of course to a cbet. However, for me a MTT is not just CHIP UP madly, but surviving…so I feel this way I tend to preserve my stack a lot more, and not waste it with 3bets pre-flop with AQ then some maniac just does not give up on the flop and boom im down from 3000 chips to 1800 or so in the first hand…

What you guys think, Im really interested on this one…

I gotta say that I share your early level frustration. I find that with 3000 chips to start with people just assume that they are so deep that they can chase anything resulting in a huge number of problems for me. As for strategy I try to use early is to play pot control as best I can. I have been running into a lot of trouble with players floating me on the flop then betting out the turn and causing me to fold with no end of headaches. I have started messing around with checking back flops then betting turns that have been checked to me and on rare occasion raising bets on the turn if I suspect that the player is trying to steal on from me. In the micro/low stakes stuff I have been finding a huge problem with getting out of the early game. If I get out here cleanly then I can usually make a decent run which is really frustrating.

i think holding on to your stack early > mad agression. most mtt:ers suck postflop so I am more inclined to take flops with esp vs baad players. it comes down to who raised. a nit i call a laggro id reraise.
